Details / Requirements:

Clim Adapt is seeking interested and qualified individuals for the following upcoming projects:

1. Position: GEDSI and MEL Officer

Required No.: 1

Workstation: Lalitpur (Office-based with frequent field travel)

Expected Joining Date: As soon as possible

Position Description

  • Provide technical expertise to integrate and mainstream Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) throughout the project cycle.
  • Strengthen the capacity of women, marginalized, and vulnerable groups to address climate and environmental risks, peace, and security issues.
  • Prepare and implement project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plans.
  • Facilitate assessments, monitoring, research, evaluations, and documentation.
  • Prepare quarterly, annual, and other required reports and documents.
  • Lead networking, coordination, and representation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and national regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication between the project team and local communities.

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

2. Position: NRM, Livelihoods and Adaptation Officer

Required No.: 1

Workstation: Rural Municipality-based with frequent travel to local communities

Expected Joining Date: As soon as possible

Position Description

  • Plan and implement activities related to Natural Resource Management (NRM), sustainable livelihoods, and locally led adaptation using Nature-based Solutions (NbS), including peace and security components.
  • Facilitate scoping analyses, vulnerability and risk assessments, and adaptation planning processes.
  • Coordinate with and support local governments to integrate climate adaptation into planning and implementation processes.
  • Empower and mobilize vulnerable communities and local institutions for context-specific adaptation planning and implementation.
  • Promote sustainable, resilient, and GEDSI-responsive livelihood opportunities for local communities.
  • Monitor project progress, document lessons learned, and prepare technical and progress reports.
  • Ensure effective communication between the project team and local communities.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies, project guidelines, and safety procedures.
  • Lead networking, coordination, and representation efforts.

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

3. Position: Field Assistant (Local)

Required No.: 1

Workstation: Field-based

Expected Joining Date: As soon as possible

Position Description

  • Coordinate and liaise project activities with local governments, communities, and stakeholders.
  • Organize and mobilize local communities for vulnerability and risk assessments.
  • Support implementation, monitoring, documentation, and reporting activities.
  • Assist in project-related assessments, analysis, and data collection.
  • Support meetings, workshops, and capacity-building activities.

Qualification and Experience: Intermediate level education with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

4. Position: Admin & Finance Assistant

Required No.: 1

Duty Station: Lalitpur, Nepal, with frequent field visits

Expected Joining Date: As soon as possible

Position Description

  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the project office.
  • Maintain financial records, vouchers, bills, invoices, and supporting documents in an organized manner.
  • Assist in preparing payment requests, bank transactions, and financial reports.
  • Support budget tracking, expense monitoring, and financial documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Maintain office supplies, inventory records, and administrative files.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, trainings, and other project events.
  • Prepare attendance sheets, travel records, and logistical arrangements for staff and visitors.
  • Support procurement processes and maintain procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, banks, and relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational financial procedures, administrative policies, and donor requirements.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the project team as assigned by supervisors.

Qualification and Experience: Intermediate level in Business Management (Bachelor’s degree preferred) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

5. Position: Adaptation Expert (Consultant)

Required No.: 1

Duty Station: Lalitpur, Nepal, with frequent field visits

Requirements:

  • Expertise in vulnerability and risk analysis and adaptation planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in locally led, pro-poor, and GEDSI-responsive adaptation approaches.
  • Familiarity with national and sub-national policies related to climate change, and sub national governance.
  • Experience in preparing and implementing the LAPA framework.
  • Strong experience working with local governments to integrate and mainstream climate actions.

Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of practical experience in local adaptation.

6. Position: Risk and Resilience Expert (Consultant)

Required No.: 1

Duty Station: Lalitpur, Nepal, with frequent field visits

Requirements:

  • Experience in conducting vulnerability and risk assessments using both quantitative and locally led tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing vulnerability and risk maps using tools such as GIS.
  • Proven experience in adaptation, risk reduction, and GEDSI-responsive analysis, planning, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with national and sub-national policies related to climate change and sub national governance.

Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of practical experience in local adaptation.
