Akasha Life is currently looking for a Project Coordinator Outreach and Partnerships at their office in Suntakhan, Gokarneshwor Municipality.

Artisan Bakery and Agriculture

Artisan Bakery is part of the social business Akasha Life. Its main goal is to support a healthy nutrition by offering a variety of high-qual

ity baked goods. We support a local production and consumption and carefully select our ingredients accordingly to promote the regional agriculture.

Akasha Academy and Akasha Life also support local food systems and run a model farm for regenerative, organic agriculture in Suntakhan, offering healthy locally grown food as well as training for the local community in these fields.

Nature Connection and Akasha Life Training Center

Akasha Life offers outdoor experiences, hikes and workshops for children, youth and adults to promote health-conscious living and nature connection.

In the coming 3 years, Akasha Life aims to establish a training center for sustainable hospitality, offering various vocational and skills trainings (barista, bakery, hospitality, homestay) for local youth in Gokarneshwor. 

Role of the position

The role of the Project Coordinator Outreach and Partnerships will include supporting the establishment of a vocational training center for sustainable hospitality and an outlet around Boudha. The focus will be to strengthen the outreach and partnerships to grow the young organization, thereby making a significant contribution towards the success of Akasha Life’s work. For the position, regular presence at the office in Suntakhan-3, Gokarneshwor will be required.

Contract period

Initially 1 year, with the possibility of extension; long-term engagement envisioned, starting as soon as possible.

Tasks and responsibilities:

You will

  • Be overall responsible to establish a network of business and training partner relationships
  • Develop and implement an outreach and partnerships strategy for the organization,
  • Identify, contact and maintain a network of business customers and relevant partnerships in the hospitality sector 
  • Facilitate collaboration opportunities for training, internships, employment placement, and knowledge-sharing programs.
  • Manage the organization’s social media platforms and support the development of engaging digital content to enhance organizational visibility and public outreach.
  • Develop and implement communication and visibility activities including social media campaigns, promotional materials, newsletters, and public engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate internally with project, training, and management teams to ensure effective implementation of partnership and communication-related activities.
  • Maintain records and databases of partners, outreach activities, stakeholder engagements, and media/communication outputs.
  • Monitor and report on outreach activities, partnerships, visibility efforts, and business development outcomes.
  • Support the further development and growth of Akasha Life as a Social Business

Required skills and experience:

You should…

  • Have successfully completed at least Bachelor’s Degree or relevant qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Business Studies, Hospitality, Nutrition, Social Work or others)
  • have at least 3 years working experience in the area of business development, partnerships and/or vocational and skills training,
  • be passionate about sustainable tourism, hospitality, nutrition, health-conscious living and nature connection
  • be creative, innovative and courageous,
  • have excellent communication and presentation skills,
  • have practical knowledge and experience in project management
  • have the ability to work within a team of different social and cultural backgrounds,
  • have a strong aspiration to contribute to a positive change
  • have a strong identification and commitment towards the overall work of Akasha Life and Akasha Academy,
  • have the ability to organize yourself (in workflows) and guide others,
  • have solid command of Nepali and English languages, both written and verbal,
  • have solid command of MS Office package (especially Excel, Word)
  • driver’s license (two-wheeler)

Ideally, you have

  • experience in the hospitality and/or skills training sector
  • practical leadership experience
  • skills in product and/or web design
