NEEDS Nepal is a non-government, not-for-profit, non-political social organization established in 1999 and registered at the District Administration Office (DAO) in Kanchanpur. It is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) on 29 Feb 2000. The organization is a women-led organization, with 100% women’s representation on its executive board, and has inclusive representation of Janajati and Dalit communities. NEEDS Nepal has been working in four thematic areas identified through its strategy plan for 2024-2028, which include Social Justice & Rights, Climate & Disaster Resilience Action, Dignified Migration & Livelihood, and Organizational Development. The organization recognizes women, children, and youths from marginalized and vulnerable households - specifically Dalit, Janajati, freed Kamaya and Haliya, as well as seasonal & cross-border migrants and other forms of bounded labour - as rights holders.
NEEDS Nepal is going to implement a " Dignified Youth Migration and Advancing Livelihood for Socio-economic Reintegration in the Sudurpaschim Province, Nepal " with the funding support of BMZ and AWO International from January 01, 2026, to December 31, 2028, in Aalital rural municipality, Dadeldhura district and Sudurpaschim Province. We are looking for potential Nepalese candidates for the following positions:
I) Finance Officer-1 Person (100% based in Aalital RM Dadeldhura): S/he will be responsible for handling overall finance of the project, which includes processing of daily transactions, budgeting, financial planning, financial reporting, banking operation, tax compliance, audit support, proper documentation and administrative works. S/he must be able to handle office packages and accounting software independently. The Applicant should have confidence in speaking and writing in English and at least a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in accounting/finance. S/he must have at least 2 years of working experience as a finance officer in NGOs.
II) Technical Officer (Agriculture & Livestock-1 Person,100% based in Aalital RM Dadeldhura): S/he will be responsible for providing technical support to beneficiaries involved in agriculture and livestock production interventions. S/he will supervise and monitor agricultural and livestock inputs and support. Additionally, s/he will coordinate with the agriculture and livestock sections of the local level government (palika), cooperatives, market development,
The role also involves capacity building for rights-holders, facilitating orientation sessions, training and workshops, as well as assisting in the development of business plan of social structures and beneficiaries, etc.
The applicant must have at least a bachelor's degree in agriculture/veterinary with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a required position. Preference will be given to the master’s degree in agriculture. The applicant must have proficiency in office packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email/internet, data analysis software and operational capacity of virtual platforms). S/he should have the willingness to travel to project working wards and communities frequently.
III) Technical Officer (Institutional Development & Networking-1 Person, 100% based in Aalital RM Dadeldhura): S/he will be responsible for building the capacity of social structures at the micro and meso level, such as spouse groups, migrant networks, cooperatives, etc. This includes mentoring and facilitating institutional development through support in the formulation of policies and guidelines, developing templates and providing documentation assistance (such as Terms of Reference (ToR), event report, concept note, two-pagers). The role involves conducting surveys and studies to identify sustainability gaps within social structures and facilitating the development of improvement plans.
Additionally, the position requires coordination with district-level stakeholders and both public and private sector entities in Sudurpaschim province. The ideal candidate must have excellent speaking and writing skills in English. A bachelor's degree in development studies, statistics, or social science is required, with working experience for candidates holding a master’s degree in one of those disciplines. Applicants should have at least two years of relevant work experience, particularly in institutional development, networking and capacity building.

S/he should have the willingness to travel to project working wards, communities and other districts of Sudurpaschim province as needed.
IV) Field Facilitators-8 Persons (100% field based in each ward of Aalital RM Dadeldhura): S/he will be responsible for providing information and raising awareness among potential migrants, returnee and their families within the communities. This includes coordinating local social structures at the community level and fostering synergy for project implementation. The role involves conducting field-level project interventions and activities, facilitate meeting, orientations and training sessions at the community and ward level, and developing event reports including database, narrative, and case/success stories.
Additionally, the candidate will conduct pre-departure and post-departure orientations, provide information on social security and social protection, and assist in referring and linking to relevant social security and social protection services. The ideal applicant should have an intermediate-level academic background, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency in local languages. They must also have at least 2 years of working experience in the field of human rights and community mobilization, with an understanding of rights-based approaches. The applicant’s proficiency in office packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and operational capacity of virtual platforms will be an advantage.
