Good Neighbors Nepal(GNN) is a national NGO working in Nepal since 2002 with the objective of improving the lives of people, especially community through education, livelihood activities, health services, WASH, advocacy, network building, Open Defecation Free Campaign and disaster risk reduction. GNN has so far covered 14 districts of the country through its 20 Community Development Projects (CDPs) and The improvement Agriculture Products for Poor Households in Sindhupalchowk and Gorkha District Out of those 20 CDPs, two have completed more than ten years, five have completed five years each, and the others are ongoing for less than five years each.

Good Neighbours Nepal is a national, non-profit organization. It was registered in 2002 with District Administration Office, Kathmandu under Organization Registration Act 2034 B.S. Good Neighbours Nepal is continuously being supported by different national, international donors and I/NGOs as well as government of Nepal. 

In partnership with World Vision International Nepal, Good Neighbours Nepal has been implementing Integrated Program Framework (IPF) and Core Project Models of Citizens Voice and Actions, IM4C, Inclusive Market for Communities, Regreening Communities & Nutrition Friendly Local Governance to ensure wellbeing of most vulnerable children and families in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 and Kirtipur Municipality. Good Neighbours Nepal is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on following positions.

1SCM and Admin Assistant -1
Intermediate (+2) in Management or Commerce or related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience or internship in administrative, Supply Chain and financial assistive roles.
  • Experience and knowledge on strategic sourcing processes, and compliances management.
  • Computer skills of MS- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email-Internet and SCM software.
2Women Empowerment Enterprise (WEE) Officer-1
Bachelor’s in agriculture, economics, social work, sociology or related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in relevant field
  • In-depth knowledge of Women’s economic empowerment approaches
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing women’s economic empowerment or livelihood projects (with WEE outcomes), technical and vocational skill training, engagement with financial service providers (FSPs), and business plan development. 
  • Advocacy knowledge with local government for policy development and implementation. Strong Understanding of WEE, GEDSI, community-led activities and local advocacy Experience in working with diverse stakeholders, including community members, government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector and community-based organizations
  • Strong training and facilitation skills
  • Monthly budget forecast and planning, quarterly expense tracking and review of expenses.
  • Good report writing skills for semi/annual reports
  • Sound skills in capacity assessment/training need assessment process and tools for staff and target group and project staff mentoring and onsite support
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications
3Nurturing Care Group (NCG)-Officer-1
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or public health
  • At least two years of experience in health/nutrition project management
  • Situation analysis of the nutritional status, early childhood development status and rearing and caring practices of children under five in the communities.
  • Forms Nurturing Care groups in the communities to capacitate them for positive parenting, nurturing and appropriate care of children under five.
  • Train nurturing care group volunteers and social mobilizers to build capacity and mobilize them for the improvement of nutritional status of children and mothers including childcare practices.
  • Annual planning, budgeting of early childhood development, infant and young child feeding practices and health and nutrition activities.
  • Coordinate with Palika, ward office and health facilities to carry out monthly growth monitoring of under two years children and quarterly growth monitoring of 3-5 years children
  • Enroll all malnourished children’s mothers in nutrition counseling sessions and provide appropriate feeding practices
  • Establish growth monitoring and promotion data bases in real time
  • Coordinate across nutrition field staff to ensure the development and regular use of all technical tools including implementation guidelines, quality benchmark, training materials, training curriculum, information materials, behavior change communication (BCC) materials and other resources
  • Capacity building of Mobilizers to ensure adequate competencies at field level to deliver all necessary components of the nutrition program.
  • Learning and sharing meetings with project staff, government officials/staff and other relevant stakeholders for continuous improvement of nutrition interventions as well as relationship building
