FAITH (Friends Affected & Infected Together in Hand) is a national, women-led, non-profit, non-religious organization that works to empower and support marginalized women, indigenous communities, and those excluded due to geography, politics, or economic hardship. To strengthen its work through innovative technology solutions, FAITH is seeking to recruit three technical experts—an AI/ML Specialist, a Backend Developer, and a Frontend & UI/UX Developer—who will be instrumental in developing a secure, user-friendly, and culturally responsive digital system to expand access to health and human rights guidance for vulnerable communities.

A. AI/ML Specialist

Position Summary

Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for health and human rights guidance based on documented professional consultations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Model Architecture DesignAI

• Design conversational AI architecture
• Select appropriate ML frameworks and tools
• Develop training pipelines and data processing workflows
• Implement privacy-preserving ML techniques

2. Data Processing & Training

• Pre-process and clean consultation transcripts
• Implement data anonymization and privacy protection
• Train and fine-tune language models on health and human rights data
• Develop evaluation metrics for model performance

3. Model Validation & Testing

• Conduct thorough testing of model outputs
• Implement safety checks and harmful content filters
• Validate model responses with health and human rights professionals
• Optimize model performance and response quality

4. Technical Documentation

• Document model architecture and training procedures
• Create technical specifications and API documentation
• Develop deployment guidelines and maintenance protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in computer science, AI/ML, or related field
• 5+ years' experience in NLP and conversational AI
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud platforms
• Experience with healthcare data and privacy regulations
• Knowledge of ethical AI principles
• Understanding of mental health domain preferred

B.Backend Developer

Position Summary

Develop robust backend infrastructure to support the health and human rights AI system, including data management, API development, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Architecture

• Design scalable backend architecture
• Implement secure data storage solutions
• Develop RESTful APIs for model integration
• Ensure system security and data protection

2. Data Management

• Build secure databases for consultation records
• Implement data anonymization pipelines
• Create data backup and recovery systems
• Develop data access control mechanisms

3. API Development

• Create APIs for model inference and responses
• Implement user authentication and authorization
• Develop logging and monitoring systems
• Build integration endpoints for frontend applications

4. Performance & Security

• Optimize system performance and response times
• Implement security best practices
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Python/Node.js, databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• API development and microservices experience
• Knowledge of health and human rights data security standards is an added advantage

C. Frontend & UI/UX Developer

Position Summary

Design and develop user-friendly interfaces for health and human rights professionals and end-users, ensuring accessibility and cultural appropriateness for Nepali users.

Key Responsibilities

1.UI/UX Design

• Design intuitive interfaces for consultation documentation
• Create user-friendly chat interfaces for AI interactions
• Develop culturally appropriate design elements for Nepali users
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback

2. Frontend Development

• Implement responsive web applications
• Develop mobile-friendly interfaces
• Integrate with backend APIs and AI models
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility

3. User Experience Optimization

• Design accessible interfaces for diverse user groups
• Implement multilingual support (Nepali/English)
• Create help documentation and user guides
• Develop onboarding flows for different user types

4. Testing & Validation

• Conduct user acceptance testing
• Perform accessibility audits
• Test across different devices and browsers
• Gather and implement user feedback

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, or related field 3+ years frontend development experience
• Proficiency in React/Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• UI/UX design experience with tools like Figma/Adobe XD
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with multilingual applications preferred
