INVITATION TO BID (ITB)
Aasaman Nepal
Janakpurdham, Dhanusha, Nepal
First Publication on August 28, 2025
Aasaman Nepal (ASN) with the vision of happy and healthy children is currently working in 20 districts of Nepal, irrespective of geographical location. ASN has been engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed at protection, promotion, and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal with various development themes such as; Education/Child Protection, Women Empowerment, Livelihood /Natural Resource Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Health/Nutrition and Governance.
Aasaman Nepal, with technical and financial support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is implementing the Reproductive Health and Rights for Accelerating Impact (RHEA) program. This initiative aims to improve access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) across Nepal by strengthening policy frameworks and their implementation. Central to this effort is enhancing the capacity of government officials and creating awareness at the community level to ensure the protection and promotion of reproductive health and rights.
As part of RHEA’s strategy to strengthen local ownership and institutional capability, the program supports local governments in prioritizing SRHR in their planning, budgeting, and governance processes. To institutionalize the successful models developed by RHEA in local level health planning and budgeting, the project aims to engage the Association of Rural and Urban Municipalities in Nepal (NARMIN/MUAN) in the Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces as a key partners to facilitate horizontal learning and peer dialogue among municipalities. This will help replicate successful practices in SRHR service delivery, especially for marginalized populations.
Despite NARMIN/MUAN’s existing role in fostering intermunicipal collaboration, SRHR has not yet been integrated into their core priorities due to lack of prior engagement by relevant stakeholders. This consultancy seeks to position SRHR firmly within NARMIN/MUAN’s agenda and support the development of tools and mechanisms to guide municipalities
Under the RHEA program, Aasaman Nepal (ASN) invites sealed bids to select successful bidders for supply of Consultancy Service: Strengthening Intermunicipal Collaboration.
