PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Sustainable enterprise and Environment Development Working Awareness Centre (SEEWAC) Nepal is implementing the Managing Risks through Economic Development (M-RED) project for approximately 2.5 years in vulnerable communities of Laljhadi RM, Punarbas Municipality, & Shuklaphata Municipality of Kanchanpur district and Godawari Municipality, Chure RM, Bhajani RM, Mohanyal RM, and Ghodagodi Municipality of Kailali district. M-RED focuses on the nexus between economic development and disaster preparedness, aiming to enhance community resilience to recurring shocks and stresses. The project promotes sustainable, scalable interventions through disaster readiness, early action, innovation, and localization, adapting technologies and methods to address evolving disaster and climate risks.
M-RED will accelerate the replication and scaleup of its interventions through multi-pronged approach -: increasing self-sustaining disaster readiness capacities in target communities, and influencing the enabling conditions needed to promote sustainability, replication, and scale while promoting innovation through early action, and localization.
The project will focus on adapting and refining technologies, tools, and methods to maintain relevance, appropriateness, and sustainability in the face of shifting disaster and climate risks and changing socio-economic conditions. The project will support creating enabling conditions for interventions through external resources from government, private sector, and service providers (investment and technical support) that will amplify the broader impact of M-RED.
1. Position: Program Coordinator (PC)

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for overall implementation and management of M-RED Program. The major responsibility of Program Coordinator will be team management, coordination and collaboration with multiple stakeholders, governments, and targeted communities, and meeting all the reporting requirements adhering to deadlines complementing other organizational development duties. The PC plays a key role in ensuring the integration of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate-smart economic development, and community resilience building in target municipalities. The PC will work closely with M-RED/MC thematic leaders to facilitate adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable risk management approaches that link economic incentives with disaster resilience. This includes oversight of program implementation, coordination of field teams, technical guidance, compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and reporting.
The position demands strong coordination and facilitation skills, technical expertise in DRR and resilience, Risk Sensitive livelihood, Nature based Solutions and the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments, including provincial and local governments. The PC ensures that program activities are grounded in evidence, responsive to community needs, and aligned with national and local DRR frameworks.

2. Position: Technical Officer (Disaster Risk Management and Anticipatory Action, Risk Sensitives Livelihood)

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technical Officer (Disaster Risk Management and Anticipatory Action, Risk Sensitive Livelihood) will be responsible for implementing the overall interventions of the M-RED Project. The Technical Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities related to Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Anticipatory Action (AA), Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and Risk Sensitive Livelihoods. The role involves providing technical guidance to field teams and local stakeholders, ensuring quality delivery of interventions, and promoting inclusive, climate-resilient, and locally led approaches. The officer will work closely with communities, local governments and program staff to strengthen capacity, foster coordination, and contribute to evidence-based programming. The primary responsibility of the technical officer is to supervise field officers and coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

3. Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, Communication and Knowledge management Officer (MEL, Com. and KM Officer)

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The MEL Officer will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of MEL systems for the M-RED program. This role ensures the effective application of MEAL guidelines, tools, and practices to support high-quality implementation, continuous learning, and adaptive management. MEL Officer will play leadership roles in developing rigorous and effective monitoring, evaluation, and database management systems for the Program. He/she is responsible for strengthening monitoring frameworks, data collection processes, and database management to track project progress and impact. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for knowledge management, promoting evidence-based documentation, and facilitating the dissemination and utilization of key learnings to inform project improvement and reporting. He/she will play a lead role for evidence-based Project documentation and will complement research-based learnings.
