Community Improvement Center (CIC) is a non-governmental organization working in rural and need-based community with the prime objective of promoting social, economic and environmental development through rights-based and participatory process. CIC together with Habitat for Humanity Nepal is implementing Safe Housing Project in Dhanusha District.  Thus, CIC invites applications from suitable and qualified Nepali citizen’s candidates for the following full time position.

1. Project Coordinator– 1 (Based in Dhanusha District)

Key Responsibilities: Purpose of the position is to implement project activities in the field in close coordination and collaboration with Local Government. S/he will be responsible to ensure project interventions are timely and effectively implemented in compliance with planning and expected results. Support effective coordination and collaboration with local government and other organization in the project area. Support to technical team and managing budget, work planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities in the local level; S/he will work closely with group and municipality and report to CIC management. S/he track activities delivery as per the plan and prepares Monthly, Quarterly and Final report and timely submits to relevant agencies.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or development related field or civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in development sector or Master’s degree with at least 3 year experience in the same as Bachelors. Knowledge in safe housing construction, Land rights, advocacy, and gender and disability inclusion is highly preferred. Have excellent computer skills, strong coordination and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas, ability to work under pressure. Local language is preferable.

2. Civil Engineer/Overseer – 1 (Based in Dhanusha District)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible for management of project including leading technical aspects construction infrastructures (survey, design, estimate, construction supervision & quality assurance) including disaster resilience as well as ensure all administrative aspect of the project. Responsible to prepare action plan of construction activities, follow-up and take corrective actions if needed. Assign and supervise the work of Technical Supervisor to ensure that construction work meet the quality, completed in timely. Coordinate with management, funding partner, communities, local government for timely decision making and management updates. Prepare regular reports and final report for submission to CIC and Concerned Palika.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor or Inter Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in Building Construction Works. Have excellent computer skills (MS Office, &Auto CAD), strong team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas, ability to work under pressure.
