The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) is a non-profit-distributing organization that serves as the unified voice of Nepal’s automobile and mobility sector. Registered with the Company Registrar Office and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, NAIMA brings together importers, manufacturers, and key stakeholders to inform, educate, and collaboratively seek solutions to the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. The association plays a vital role in aligning private sector perspectives with national development and sustainability priorities.
Through strategic collaboration, data-driven advocacy, and active engagement with government and civil society, NAIMA supports the development of a more structured, safe, and efficient mobility ecosystem in Nepal. Its work spans regulatory reform, workforce development, consumer awareness, infrastructure improvement, and sustainable development—positioning the organization as a trusted institution committed to shaping the future of Nepal’s mobility landscape. NAIMA is hiring two full-time positions as outlined below:
1. Position: Finance, Operations, and Grants Lead
Location: Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, Nepal
Position Summary
NAIMA is seeking a committed, proactive, and qualified individual to join its team as Finance, Operations, and Grants Lead. The position plays a key internal leadership role at NAIMA and is responsible for managing the organization’s finance systems, internal operations, and grant development process. It works under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and supervises a Program Finance Officer.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, discreet, and reliable, with a strong track record in financial management, operations oversight, and grants development within the relevant sector. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role that ensures the organization runs smoothly and is well-positioned for long-term impact. The role also holds responsibility for compliance—working closely with NAIMA’s Legal Advisors to establish internal policies and ensure that all operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Finance and Accounting
- Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and organizational operational frameworks in close coordination with the Executive Director.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial record management.
- Ensure full compliance with internal financial policies, national regulations, donor requirements, and internal control standards.
- Administer and optimize the use of financial tools such as Tigg, Tally, and Excel for effective financial management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and conduct thorough analysis of accruals to support strategic decision-making and ensure audit readiness.
- Contribute to financial strategy by identifying cost-saving measures and advising on potential revenue-generating opportunities to strengthen NAIMA’s financial sustainability.
Operations Management
- Oversee procurement processes, contract administration, asset management, and coordination with vendors to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Manage internal workflows, documentation systems, administrative procedures, and coordination of internal meetings.
- Support the design and execution of key activities aligned with NAIMA’s strategic priorities, in collaboration with internal committees.
- Supervise the Program Finance Officer, providing regular guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team performance and professional development.
- Lead the planning and coordination of internal events and logistics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, schedules, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with NAIMA’s legal advisors to draft, revise, and implement internal administrative and operational policies in compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
Grants and Proposal Development
- Identify grant opportunities and lead the development of high-quality proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align program design with funding requirements and ensure timely, coordinated submissions.
- Maintain an internal grants calendar to track funding cycles, application deadlines, and reporting schedules.
- Develop a practical strategy for post-award grant implementation and lead the operational execution of grant-funded activities in coordination with NAIMA leadership.
- Monitor compliance with grant terms and manage internal systems for documentation, reporting, and timely deliverables.
- Monitor public sources for potential funding or partnership opportunities and submit a weekly summary report to the Executive Director.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, operations, and grants management in the relevant sector.
- Demonstrated ability to develop grant proposals and manage the implementation of donor-funded projects.
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements, internal policy development, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks of not-for-profit organizations.
- Experience supervising staff and strengthening internal systems, processes, and workflows.

2. Position: Strategic Communications & Events Lead
Location: Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, Nepal
Position Summary
NAIMA is seeking a committed, proactive, and creative individual to join its team as Strategic Communications & Events Lead. The position plays a vital cross-functional role in advancing NAIMA’s communication, outreach, event execution, research, and data management. The officer will report to the Executive Director and work in close collaboration with the NAIMA Board and Committees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communication and Outreach Portfolio
- Develop and implement communication strategies to strengthen NAIMA’s brand, visibility, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead and manage NAIMA’s online presence by drafting, designing, uploading, and promoting content across social media platforms and the official website.
- Create engaging digital content (audio, video, infographics) using state-of-the-art tools, and lead end-to-end social media management including strategic content planning, post scheduling, engagement tracking, analytics reporting, and platform optimization across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and TikTok.
- Produce and manage content for press releases, reports, campaigns, newsletters, and other advocacy or media materials.
- As designated, serve as a media point of contact (POC), representing NAIMA in external communications in close coordination with the Executive Director, NAIMA Board and Committees.
2. Event and Studio Management Portfolio
- Plan and execute NAIMA’s key events including logistics, stakeholder outreach, branding, and documentation.
- Lead coordination role in organizing flagship events such as NAIMA Monthly Mobility Sambaad and NAIMA Mobility Expos, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Manage studio productions including video interviews, digital content sessions ensuring smooth execution and high-quality results in both technical setup and creative delivery.
3. Research, Data and Grant Management Portfolio
- Support the development and execution of research related to the automotive and mobility sectors, including policy trends and market analysis.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze sectoral data to support evidence-based advocacy, strategic communications, and knowledge products.
- Assist in identifying funding opportunities and help prepare grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, or Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Communications
- Strong command of written and spoken Nepali (fluency required).
- Demonstrated experience with graphic and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Premiere Pro).
- Ability to lead digital content production and manage social media platforms and websites.
- Experience coordinating press, media, and public relations.
- Proven teamwork skills, with flexibility to work in dynamic environments, including working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Prior experience in non-profit organizations and familiarity with Nepal’s mobility sector, is preferred.
