Radhakrishna Tharu Jana-Sewa Kendra (RKJS) Bardiya is a non-government and non-profit social organization, and registered in District Administration Office Bardiya in 1996 AD. It is affiliated to Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu. It beliefs all human beings are equal in dignity and rights and 'creation of equitable, self-reliant, harmonious and progressive society'  is its vision with the mission of empowerment of right holders for enabling them to claim and exercise their human rights.  It works for disadvantaged, marginalized, deprived, minorities, GBV survivors, vulnerable, person with disability and other poor people/communities including children, adolescents, girls and young women as well as quality education and child friendly learning.

Radhakrishna Tharu Jana-Sewa Kendra (RKJS) Bardiya in the partnership with Plan International Nepal is implementing Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Project in four palikas: Barabardiya, Thakurbaba, Rajapur Municipalities and Geruwa Rural Municipality of Bardiya. The overall purpose of the project is that the management and coordinating with stakeholders including partner for achieving project goal and results. The focus will be capacity building of target groups, changing social norms and system strengthening in the project area for ensuring rights of children, adolescent, girl and young women whereby they live and lead their life with dignity in development and humanitarian settings. Radhakrishna Tharu Jana-Sewa Kendra (RKJS) Bardiya will work directly with children, adolescent and young people, poor families, local bodies, farmers group, schools, child clubs, youth clubs and all relevant community and district level stakeholders in Bardiya District.

Project Coordinator (PC)

(Bardiya)

(one)

Project Coordinator (PC) oversees all activities implemented and Project effectively managed and implemented in timely manner in Bardiya District.

The position is specifically responsible to: 

  • Lead and facilitate quality and timely implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project.
  • Coordinate, supervise and appraise the project team for quality delivery of the project at all stages and ensure efficient utilization and timely accountability of funds and resources as mandated by project. 
  • Build strong relationship with stakeholders including local, provincial, and local government, communities and other influencing stakeholders. 
  • Generate impact and document them as field evidences of the project, reporting with required document.
  1. Bachelor’s degree with 5 years working experience in relevant area or Master’s Degree in relevant field with 3 years working experience in relevant area.
  2. Experience in Education, Protection, ECD, Youth Empowerment, SRHR, WASH, DRR and nutrition in any field sector. 
  3. Good knowledge on project and stakeholder management, project scope management and conflict management, team mobilization and financial operation.
  4. Experience in team leadership, coordination or direct management role
  5. Experience in designing and delivering community mobilization forums and activities.
  6. Experience in child protection and child protection system strengthening and influence.
  7. Knowledge on project monitoring, data collection, and analysis, and report writing.
  8. Ability to use basic office electronic equipment & computer applications, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  9. Strong oral and written communication in English and Nepali (local language added value) and report writing skills in English and Nepali.

Finance Coordinator (FC)

(Bardiya)

Finance Coordinator (FC) is responsible for recording and reporting financial transaction with ensuring compliance with donor rules, regulation according to Nepal Government Laws and Organizational Policies related to activities implemented under Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Program in Bardiya district.

  1. Bachelor’s degree with 5 years working experience in relevant area or Master’s Degree in relevant field with 3 years working experience in relevant area.
  2. Knowledge of current government's tax policies and labor laws.
  3. Competent in computer skills Microsoft office specially in the use of MS Excel and any other accounting software
  4. Knowledge of accounting, auditing system and financial monitoring system
  5. Oral fluency in English and Nepali language for communication and also report writing skill in English is a must
  6. Prior experience in managing Plan International Nepal funds will be an added advantage

Project Officer (PO)

(Bardiya)

(Two)

Project Officer (PO) is responsible to implement, monitoring and reporting of all activities implemented to ensure Girls experience reduced levels of gender-based violence and discriminatory social norms and practices and grows up safely in communities free of child marriage, child trafficking and child labor. Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Program effectively managed and implemented in timely manner in Bardiya District.

  1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field with Minimum 3 years working experience in relevant area. 
  2. Working experience in development, education, protection and emergency response project management.
  3. Good knowledge on cash and voucher programming and SBCC, WASH, education, nutrition, and protection sector.
  4. Project management and financial operations knowledge
  5. Knowledge of project monitoring, data collection, and analysis, and report writing.
  6. Ability to use basic office electronic equipment & computer applications, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  7. Oral and written communication and report writing skills in English and Nepali

Program Officer (Sponsorship Communication Project)

(Bardiya)

(One)

Program Officer (PO) is responsible to child sponsorship management including operating Child Data ensuring data protection and privacy policy in closed coordination with Sponsorship unit of Plan international Nepal.  The position holder is responsible for overseeing daily work of encoders, coaching and updating them on changes.  S/he will responsible for timely communication between sponsored children, their family and Plan international Nepal.  S/he is also responsibility quality assurance of all sponsorship communication documents in terms of adherence to safeguarding children and young people policy in all incoming and outgoing sponsorship communication documents. The position holder also plays a vital role in business rules and meeting KPIs by providing necessary information to RKJS on time. S/he ensures proper management of both hard-copy and soft copy sponsorship documents, including photographs accordance with sponsorship compliances.

  1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field with Minimum 3 years working experience in relevant area.
  2. Working experience in child sponsorship management.
  3. Knowledge of project monitoring, data collection, and analysis, and report writing and coordination with sub ordinate staffs.
  4. Ability to use basic office electronic equipment Camera & computer applications, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop.
  5. Oral and written communication and report writing skills in English, Nepali and local language of working area.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer (MEDO)

(One)

Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer (MEDO) is responsible to implement the monitoring and evaluation framework of the project and produce and organize project related information and documents; and carry out knowledge management activities as needed under Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Project in Bardiya district.

  1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field with Minimum 3 years working experience in relevant area.
  2. Working experience in designing, Database, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and documentation framework of the project.
  3. Experience in database management is preferred 
  4. Competent in computer skills office package, especially advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, SPSS and other database platform 
  5. Oral and written communication report writing skills in English and Nepali language
  6. Experience in team leadership and coordination.
  7. Experience in research, database management is preferred.

Finance & Logistic Officer (FLO)

(Bardiya)

(One)

Finance Logistic Officer (FLO) is overall responsible for recording and reporting of financial transaction and goods purchase ensuring compliance criteria of the Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Program. The position will be well versed in partner requirements, Nepal Government’s laws, and organizational policies related to financial and procurement management.  He/She works closely with the Project Coordinator (PC), Finance Coordinator (FC), Monitoring, Evaluation, and Documentation Officer (MEDO), Project Officer (Thematic PO), and Field Supervisor (FS) in maintaining proper financial and procurement documentation and reporting.

  1. Bachelor's degree with 5 years working experience in relevant area or Master's Degree in relevant field with 3 years working experience in relevant area.
  2. Working experience and knowledge in procurement and logistic.
  3. Competent in computer skills, Microsoft Office specially in the use of MS Excel and any other accounting software 
  4. Oral and written communication report writing skills in English and Nepali language 
  5. Prior experience in managing Plan International Nepal funds will be an added advantage
  6. Knowledge of current government's tax policies and labor laws.
  7. Good knowledge on Assets management, including control of assets requisition, movements, and upkeep of assets lists. 
  8. Experience and knowledge in market analysis to ensure the price of goods and services in comparison with CBA.
