Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights (CWISH), a non-profit civil society organization established in 1993 with an aim to ensure social justice, protection and promotion of human rights especially the rights of children and youths, invites applications for different posts: District Coordinator (Manthali base)-1, Admin and Finance Officer (Manthali base) -1, IT Communication Associate (Kathmandu Base) – 1, Social Mobilizers ( Manthali and Khadadevi base)- 4 , Support Staff (Manthali Base) -1 from interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizens only) who are reliable, accountable, and have ability to deliver results with highest level of integrity.

With the aim to contribute CWISH goal, the vacancy is called for Together for Child Rights a project in two Municipalities of Ramechhap ,  (Manthali  Municipality and Khandadevi Rural Municipality)  from May 2024 funded by The Vicente Ferrer Foundation (FVF), Spain. The project aims to address Marginalized and Vulnerable Children from rural communities through improving child rights, supported by the communities and municipality authorities.

1. Position: District Coordinator

Required No.: One

Duration and work Station: May 2024– April 2025, (Possibility of extension), Manthali Municipality and Khandadevi RM, Ramechap

Job Summary: 

District Coordinator is responsible for managing the program and team for implementation of the activities in the communities and regularly reporting the progress/status; coordinating and networking with stakeholders at all levels; supporting the program team for organizing events; conducting semi/annual review and planning meetings. This position reports to the Team Leader of organization. 

Key Qualification and competencies: 

  • Master’s degree in   Sociology / Social Work / Development Studies, Social Science or related field with minimum three years of demonstrated work experience or bachelor’s degree with minimum five years of experience in human rights/ child rights/ child protection/gender equality/family empowerment.
  • Experience in programme management, community engagement, lobby and advocacy, training delivery and report writing in English and Nepali.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills. 
  • Training and experience in gender equality, human rights, child rights, child protection, family empowerment with special focus on working with vulnerable and marginalized community is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and skill in managing social media and online platforms. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, enthusiastic, spirit of activism and willing to bring creative ideas in the work. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Manage the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of activities, supporting program teams, local government authorities, and schools as needed.
  • Facilitate effective coordination and networking with government, stakeholders, and media at all levels, building relationships and engaging in implementation and policy advocacy.
  • Develop IEC/BCC materials, conduct capacity building sessions, and utilize social media and online platforms for knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct program monitoring, communicate requirements, and prepare high-quality progress reports.

2. Position: Admin and Finance Officer

Duration and working areas: May 2024– April 2025 (Possibility of extension), Based in Manthali

Job Summary: 

In close coordination with District Coordinator and team s/he is responsible for overseeing overall administration and financial matters and supporting the program team. The primary responsibility is to lead the financial activities and transactions and administrative support to the program team.  This role involves managing budgets, analyzing financial data, preparing financial and admin reports, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This position reports to District Coordinator and works closely with Admin and Finance Manager.

Key qualification and competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be given preference.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in financial management, preferably in the context of development program or NGO sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, administrative and management skills
  • Sound knowledge in Excel and computer in handling all the Office software), accounting packages like FAMAS and taxation
  • Good documentation and communication skill able to communicate in English and Nepali Language
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, enthusiastic, committed to team work and learning attitude.

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Manage financial operations, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring compliance with organizational and funding partner guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions promptly, and prepare and submit financial reports as required.
  • Conduct periodic financial reviews, liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies, and provide guidance and training to project staff on financial procedures and best practices.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain organized records and files, both physical and digital, ensuring easy access and retrieval. Provide administrative support to program staff, including scheduling, document preparation, and other tasks as required.

3. Position: IT Communication Associate

Required No.: One   

Duration and working areas: May 2024– April 2025 (Possibility of extension), Based in Kathmandu 

Job Summary:

This position is desired to manage the overall communication and digital platforms (website and social media platforms) of CWISH and overall data management contributing to the increase in visibility of the organization as well as Project.

Key qualification and competencies

  • At least Bachelor in Communication/ Computer Science / Information Technology Social Work / Development Studies or relevant area
  • Preference for knowledge on Child Rights, child protection, child friendly local governance 
  • Must be Fluent in English and Nepali (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and effectively as a part of team and capacity to collaborate with diverse team and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, committed to team work and learning attitude.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Media and Communication management: updating media & communication strategy of CWISH; managing official social media pages, website and coordinating with media houses.
  • Publication and Visual Material Development: Design publications and visual materials like reports, banners, and newsletters; edit and finalize audio-visual materials; Coordinate success stories dissemination and track media exposure of child protection issues.
  • Administrative Support: Assist Admin/Finance Team with data management and procurement.
  • Maintain systematic filing of electronic and media productions, and any other IT communication related tasks.

4. Position: Social Mobilizer

Required No.: Four   

Duration and working areas: May 2024– April 2025 (Possibility of extension), Based on Manthali Municipality and Khadadevi RM 

Job Summary:

Social mobilizers are responsible for implementation of the activities in the communities and regularly reporting the progress/status; coordinating and networking with stakeholders at local levels; supporting the project team for organizing events; participating semi/annual review and planning meetings. This position reports to District Coordinator. 

Key qualification and competencies

  • At least Intermediate in any field of studies or relevant area
  • Preference for knowledge on Child Rights, child protection, child friendly local governance 
  • Need to have good interpersonal skills such as excellent communication, empathy, committed to work with children and vulnerable families. 
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and effectively as a part of team and capacity to collaborate with line agencies including municipalities.

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with community stakeholders, including schools and local organizations, for mobilization efforts.
  • Maintain documentation of field activities and support in documenting project-related stories and media.
  • Conduct capacity building sessions for child clubs and organize community awareness activities on child rights and protection issues.
  • Provide support to vulnerable families for empowerment activities.
  • Assist in data collection and prepare activity reports and documentation of progress and case stories.
  • Support program monitoring and follow-up, as well as administrative and financial management tasks at the district level.

5. Position: Support Staff

Required No.: 1

Duration and working areas: May 2024– April 2025(Possibility of extension), Based in Manthali

Job Summary:

Support staff is responsible for district office day to day utility cleaning management. This position reports to District Project Coordinator. 

Key qualification and competencies

  • At least Literate (can read and write) 
  • At least 1 year experience in the similar work 
  • Good communication skill with a learning attitude 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage office utilities, including tea, snacks, electricity, and telephone services.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and internet follow-up.
  • Handle printer, photocopying, and material distributions.
  • Ensure office cleanliness, security, and meeting hall management.
  • Provide support to the programme team and fulfill additional official duties as required.
