Trail Bridge Engineer

VACANCY NOTICE

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is providing Technical Assistance (TA) to the Government of Nepal (GoN) in the implementation of the Trail Bridge Sub Sector Programme (TBSSP) in Nepal.

The GoNmanagestrail bridge (TB) building in the spirit of the Constitution of Nepal 2015 under a Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp), where local governments construct and maintain TBs with support of the Federal and Provincial governments.

 On behalf of SDC, Helvetas Nepal provides TA through the Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU). Helvetas Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizens for the following position.

Position: Trail Bridge Engineer - 2

Experience and Social Competence:  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years’ work experience with at least 4 years in trial bridges.

Duration: 1 year (with possibility of extension) 

Duty station:  TBSU Provincial Offices- Gandaki and Karnali 

Remuneration and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

• Technical assistance to Palikas/Provinces through Provincial Technical Assistance Providers (PTAPs)
• Capacity Building of Palikas/Provinces, NGOs, Consultants, Fabricators, Contractors and PTAP
