The Role

Thematic Leader – Gender Justice steers the implementation and the development of a portfolio of Gender Justice Program while influencing policies in that theme, developing strong partnerships and generating knowledge.

As a Thematic Leader-GJ, s/he will be responsible for overall management of the program and will be accountable for the delivery of project under his/her portfolio on target, on time, on budget with compliance and quality. The post holder will also be responsible for developing and implementing the thematic strategy for Gender Justice thematic area and mainstream gender justice within other thematic areas. S/he also will be responsible for project design.

What we are looking for

Thematic Leader – Gender Justice will require to be exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam's values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • Master’s Degree in any discipline related to Gender/Gender Justice/Social Science and/or any other relevant field
  • Hands on programme management experience with at least 5 years’ experience (strategy development, project cycle management, HR and Financial Management, online MIS, and the use of excel) in relevant field.
  • Technical knowledge/experience in Gender, feminist and rights-based programming.
  • Proven team leadership and proven track record in achieving great team performance and sound ability to work together with others and independently as required
