Domestic women workers are basically migrants or from marginalized communities who often face challenging working environments with limited labor protections, social recognition and economic stability. “Valuing Women’s Work” project was a great success regarding awareness-raising to 150 domestic workers of Lalitpur. Now with a foundation of VWW, this project will focus on new skill development of the domestic workers along with policy implementation, strengthening advocacy and fostering sustainable change to ensure that domestic work is valued.

The project aim to engage more stakeholders, parliamentarians, local government representatives and mainstream media. By fostering collaboration, advocacy, dialogue and storytelling, the project hopes to drive holistic solutions that address both the immediate needs and long term rights of domestic workers. Key initiatives in this project include exchange program for municipalities to share best practices in supporting domestic workers. The project will bring us closer to the vision of domestic work more respected, advancing the well-being and empowerment of domestic workers while influencing broader labor policies to ensure equity and justice for all.
