The main goal of the platform is to make the consumers to be able to find the reliable service providers as well as service providers to be able to get a wider range of consumers. With multiple projects in the pipeline, this company will suit for someone who has extensive experience with software development and is willing to get involved in the design and development of the software architecture. This will be an opportunity for someone who has worked in a senior role in software development to lead a team of software developers

We are looking for a Technical Lead  to join our team who has experience in leading and developing modern scalable applications and providing a complete business solution. We are keen to have a confident professional who operates with a sense of realism, humility, humor, and adds significant value to the team meanwhile maintaining and streamlining the company’s projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application design, development, and architecture
  • Strong knowledge/experience around several of the following tools and technologies: React, PHP, JavaScript, Web Services, Rest API, MVC, AWS, Apache, MySQL, DynamoDB
  • Understanding of OOAD, UML, Multi-Tier Application, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservice Architecture
  • Must be proficient in development environments, debugging tools, and source control systems.
  • Must have experience in cross-platform development and worked in products or technologies with scalable and sustainable architecture
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps

Responsibilities

  • Perform line management duties for your software engineers
  • Support team members to develop and follow a professional development pathway
  • Monitor and review individual team member's performance on an ongoing basis
  • Design, develop, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software to team programming standards
  • Contribute to the broader software, product, solution design, and road-map liaising with the Product Owner and Stakeholders
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure that software meets code quality standards and applications are robust, performant, and maintainable
  • Continually work to improve team processes, capabilities and output
  • Knowledge share, mentor peers and colleagues to uplift technical ability within the team and support team members to create and follow professional development pathways
  • Researching and recommending emerging IT / technological Platforms to create strategic advantages and implement Board approved objectives
  • Developing KPIs to track and review project performance
  • Leading regular meetings with key stakeholders
  • Scoping projects, building timelines with cross-functional alignment that capture dependencies and facilitate day-to-day components
  • Identifying new projects based on patterns of regular inquires or recurring errors
  • Deliver Low/Medium/Complex designs for current and future state
  • Help to shape new client propositions, services and products, by owning the design over the life cycle of end-to-end delivery of the solution
  • Work with teams to design high-quality solutions that are innovative, stable and resilient
  • Deliver timely, top class design documentation
  • Ensure designs accurately reflect the business requirements in design documentation
  • Review Test Coverage, Implementation Plans, Peer Review and Feedback on design work with colleagues
  • Effectively work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels
  • Support the delivery / release all the way through from inception to post production implementation support as required
  • Promote regular review of designs and champion transparency of decision making
  • Manage the level of technical debt to support long-term sustainable development
  • Maintain a good awareness of business strategy, new products, platforms, tools and technologies and keep abreast of the technical strategy of our suppliers
  • Define how controlled assessments of new tools and technology are completed, encouraging the use of Proofs of Concept (POCs) and live trials
