Social Safeguards Coordinator/Institutional/Federalism Coordinator

GEOCE Consultants (P.) Ltd is seeking the following candidates for the forthcoming long-term assignment: 

1. Social Safeguards Coordinator 

Qualifications and experience: Master's Degree in social science, gender and development, Planning (Development, Regional etc.), Rural Livelihoods, Rural Development or related fields; at least 10 years of professional experience in participatory community development; and experience the in the social mobilization of communities; sound knowledge in the area of rural development, and natural resources management; excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in the multidisciplinary team. The expert should also preferably have 5 years of experience in M&E systems related to externally funded projects; excellent computer skills with a comprehensive knowledge of data management, and; be proficiency in written and spoken English with an ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

2. Institutional/Federalism Coordinator 

Qualifications and experience: A master’s degree in related fields - public administration, public policy, political science, and a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in advising public administrations, and executive authorities, and implementing governance development programs/ projects at the sub-national level in Nepal. Minimum 7 years of experience and successful track record in conceptual guidance and development of innovative good governance (transparency, accountability, and participation) policies, tools, methods, and procedures at the sub-national level – e.g. open government strategies, participatory budgeting, civic consultations, and feedback mechanisms, use of new information technologies, etc. A strong understanding of Nepal’s Constitution, existing legislation in respective fields, of public administration processes, good governance standards, and Fluency to write and verbally communicate in English is required.
