Consultancy Services for the Production of a Character-Driven Documentary Movie on Circular Economy and Sustainable Systems

Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) focuses its activities on promoting sustainable approaches to natural resource management and green solutions in Nepal, working cohesively to transition toward a circular economy that minimizes waste, keeps materials in use, and regenerates natural systems through the European Union-funded Roots of Circularity (ROC) project. 

WCN is conducting a selection process and invites you to submit an application to provide WCN, within their requirements, for:

Title: Consultancy Services for the Production of a Character-Driven Documentary Movie on Circular Economy and Sustainable Systems 

WCN Program: Roots of Circularity (ROC) Project 

Objective of the assignment: The overall objective of this consultancy is to conceptualize, write, shoot, and produce a high-quality, character-driven documentary movie (12 to 15 minutes) showcasing circular economy solutions, sustainable resource management, and responsible consumption practices within Nepal. 

• To achieve this, the assignment is driven by the following specific strategic objectives:
• Conduct field research and identify authentic circular economy practitioners (e.g., waste management workers, upcyclers, sustainable entrepreneurs) to re-enact their actual roles and operations. 
• Develop original narrative concepts, storylines, scriptwriting, and storyboards in-house in Nepali language supplemented with synchronized English subtitles. 
• Execute professional multi-camera field cinematography, high-fidelity sound capture, color grading, and audio mastering across targeted locations in Bagmati and/or Lumbini Province. 
• Deliver a broadcast-ready visual advocacy tool to engage key decision-makers, including policymakers, investors, community leaders, and vocational educational institutions. 
• Demonstrate the economic, social, and environmental viability of circular business models to foster policy integration and strategic partnerships across Nepal.
