Background/ Context:

Association for Social Transformation and Humanitarian Assistance - ASTHA, Nepal is a non­ profit making, non-governmental, non-political, social development organization established in 1996 AD with the core objective of healthy, educated, equitable and prosperous society. The basic purpose of ASTHA Nepal is to work with the poor, Dalits, indigenous and disadvantaged people for mainstreaming them in development process.  

Since 2021, ASTHA Nepal, in partnership with World Vision International Nepal, has been implanting Protection and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Programme (P&CESP) project in 4 Palika (Kamalbazar MP, Panchdewal MP, Sangebagar MP and Mellekh RMP) of the Achham district.

The project aims to improve the well-being of 5500 children of Achham in particular and 0.8 million children from all over Nepal, particularly the most vulnerable ones, to be protected from violence, well-nourished, able to access quality and inclusive education and to experience positive and peaceful relationship in their families and communities by the end of its strategy cycle 2021-2025. The projects with its set up goal "Children are loved protected and empowered" follow to achieve with 4 outcomes : 1. the Community partners understand and utilize child sponsorship to care for children and enable children, families and communities to have life enriching experiences, 2. children, with support from caregivers, are resilient and able to respond to CP issues, 3. CP system and services are functional, and 4. Community including faith groups and teachers are actively engaged in providing protective environment for the children.

Details of Requirements:

ASTHA Nepal seeks to engage the service of a qualified consultant or consulting firms with relevant technical expertise to develop a 10-minute-long video and 20 impactful stories (both in Nepali and English) showcasing the significant impacts of the P&CESP project throughout the 2021-2025 strategy cycle. Both the impact stories and video are designed for a broad audience, including internal and external stakeholders, and will serve to enhance the organization's profile across various digital media channels and events, demonstrating its achievements on multiple platforms.

The company will provide technical and related human resources service for the completion of the goal by completing following tasks:

  • Develop a concept and work plan in close coordination with ASTHA Nepal and WVI Nepal. 
  • In coordination with ASTHA Nepal and WVI Nepal’s Communications team, develop script in line with achievements, highlighting positive impact on the most vulnerable children and families. 
  • Acquire stock footages/photos from ASTHA Nepal on micro project, Group facilitation, CFLG declarations. 
  • Capture footages of major interventions under P&CESP Project. 
  • Collect information from the beneficiaries for develop impact stories.
  • Capture video interviews of relevant stakeholders within project working areas and take a high-resolution photo of beneficiaries for the stories.   
  • Film appropriate cutaway scenes/B-rolls as required by the concept.
  • Acquire photographs/clips of projects as relevant to the impact video.
  • Edit the collected footages complete with motions graphics, English subtitles, data visualization in line with WV branding guidelines.
  • Develop 20 impact stories in both language Nepali and English (One side Englis and One Side Nepali) with at least 2 high quality action phots with each story. 
  • Submit a draft version of the 10-minute-long video and impact stories to ASTHA Nepal and WVI Nepal to collect feedback and suggestions. 
  • Submit a final video and stories book after incorporating all suggestions from WVI Nepal
  • Shorter edits of the final video (15–30 seconds) tailored for social media and other digital platforms, ensuring wider reach and adaptability to different audiences to showcase achievements of the major intervention such as Sponsorship child, Rupantaran group, Positive parenting group, Micro Project, Child Right Committee, Complaint Hearing Mechanism and CFLG ward declaration.

Terms and conditions for ‘supply and delivery’:

  1. The RFP should be submitted within 7 Days from the date of publication along with all the updated legal documents related to the firm, like the Firm registration, PAN/VAT registration document, Tax clearance document of last fiscal year, Supplier renewal document and others, if any.
  2. RFP received after the specified date, will not be considered. But, if the last day is a holiday, it can be submitted on the first day of the next office resumes within office working time.
  3. The Bidder could submit the physical copies of the bidding documents to the central office of ASTHA Nepal located at Mangalsen-05, Achham or, they may submit electronic copies to asthanepal.achham@gmail.com with "Application for Bid" clearly stated in the subject line.
