Ecotourism Promotion and Marketing Project

Background

KOICA Inclusive Rural Development Project in Bardiya (IRDB) District, Nepal targets eight Municipalities within Bardiya District, Lumbini Province, Nepal, and aims to vitalized local economy focusing on Agriculture and Ecotourism Value Chain through Locally Initiated Projects (LIPS). 

LIP (Locally Initiated Project) is being implemented in collaboration with the Government of Nepal and the Government of the Republic of Korea, and is managed by the Project Management Consultancy Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) and Global Expert Hub Consultancy (GEH).

In this context, KDS invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from NGOs that are legally registered and operating exclusively in Bardiya District to support the implementation of ecotourism promotion and marketing project.

Requirements for local NGO are as follows

• Be legally registered and currently operating in Bardiya District
• Have at least 5–7 years of proven experience in tourism or eco-tourism–related projects
• Demonstrate experience in the production, installation, dissemination, and promotion of tourism marketing materials, including print, digital, and audio-visual outputs
• Have prior working experience in Bardiya District, preferably in collaboration with local governments, cooperatives, or community-based organizations
• Concept Note, outlining the proposed approach to eco-tourism promotion and marketing in Bardiya District
• Technical Proposal, describing the methodology, key activities, and implementation arrangements
• Work Plan and Timeline, for four years (2026–2029)
• Copies of legal registration and renewal documents.

Application deadline

Interested companies should submit their proposal by 03 February 2026 before 5 PM.

The Project Management Office (PMO) of KOICA IRDB project reserves the right to cancel this Request for Proposal at any stage with or without any notification.
