About the Role

RISU Care, based in Melbourne, Australia, is a growing disability support provider delivering high-quality, person-centered care to participants with complex medical and support needs. We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (Quality and Education) to join our team fully remotely from Nepal. This role focuses on quality improvement, compliance and documentation standards, staff education & training, clinical oversight through documentation review, care plan development, and supporting participant well-being. You will collaborate closely with our on-ground clinical and support teams via email, phone, video calls, and shared systems (OneDrive, Brevity).


Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Quality Improvement
•    Ensure all documentation and practices align with required quality and safeguards standards
•    Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, and the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
•    Conduct quarterly internal audits, analyze incidents, complaints, feedback, and implement improvements
•    Monitor daily progress notes and update care plans as needed
•    Perform risk assessments and support development of individualized care plans
•    Provide daily clinical reports to the team
Participant Care & Wellbeing
•    Review and oversee clinical care plans, health assessments, wound care guidance, medication management, and vital signs monitoring
•    Identify changes in participants’ health status and ensure timely follow-up
•    Collaborate with healthcare professionals for person-centered care
Education & Training
•    Coordinate staff education and training programs
•    Deliver health education to participants and their families
•    Provide monthly training reports on staff competency and development needs

Requirements / Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or recognized equivalent in Disability, Social Services, or Nursing)
•    Strong English written and verbal communication skills
•    Excellent computer skills (MS Office, cloud-based systems such as OneDrive)
Experience & Skills
•    Recent experience in disability, aged care, community, or health sectors
•    Experience in developing and reviewing health support plans or other care plans
•    Experience supporting people with disability who have complex medical needs
•    Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles and human rights-based practice
•    Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
•    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
•    Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
