VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Conflict Victims Women National Network (CVWN) provides a platform for a wide range of member organizations and conflict victims.  The Network facilitates knowledge sharing, nurtures solidarity, and helps to bring a more coordinated and coherent approach to advocacy aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of conflict victims in Nepal through transitional justice. 

CVWN invites applications from qualified individuals for the positions described below.

1. Position:  Psychosocial Counselor

Location: Kathmandu

Duties

Leadership and management

  • Provide psychosocial counselling to all the clients in needed and staffs.  
  • Keep updated record of each individual client and maintain an effective documentation system
  • Supervision and monitoring to the districts counsellors and, assist them as per their demands.
  • Provide technical assistance to the districts counsellor as per need.
  • Preparing related reports for organizational documentation and references
  • Maintain records and other paperwork (e.g. assessment; diagnoses; progress notes etc.), and keep these records confidential.
  • Receive phone calls as per demand 
  • Compiled the monthly reports from the districts counselors and send it to the line manager.

Networks

  • Maintain good relationship within stakeholder, client and other service centre.

Representation

  • Ensure the effective and regular communication with donors, clients and staffs as well.
  • Represent CVWN in a wide range of public functions (meetings, conferences, etc.) 

Technical advice

  • Provide regular counselling, necessary feedbacks and seek external advice as needed. 
  • Organize one to one and interaction program within the team.

Minimum qualifications: 

The candidates must have Master degree in clinical psychology or counseling psychology along with at least three years of work experience.

A successful candidate will have demonstrated 

  • Knowledge of psychosocial counselling and problem solving.
  • a capacity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders,
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills 
  • Proven ability to be flexible in a team-oriented approach with diverse groups of people.
