Ipas works globally with a vision that every woman and girl has the right and ability to determine her own sexuality and reproductive health. Ipas Nepal’s program intervention prioritize intersectional partnerships that integrates into the broader gender equality and social justice, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) - including gender-based violence prevention and response, and women-led climate justice. 

Objective of Assignment

Ipas Nepal is currently in the phase of designing and brainstorming new project ideas especially on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), safe abortion and climate justice themes. Thus, Ipas Nepal is hiring a Proposal Development Consultant to develop few technical proposal and concept notes. The consultant will work in supervision of Deputy Country Director and closely work with Program Development Coordinator and other team members as required.

Expected roles and responsibilities

• Review current Ipas Nepal documents and identify areas for new project design
• Collate relevant evidence/reports and prepare review of the evidence to inform the project design
• Prepare the logic framework, technical proposal and concept note
• Share the logic framework, draft proposal and concept note with Ipas Nepal
• Finalize the technical proposal and concept notes, in coordination and consultation with the relevant team members

Level of Effort

The Consultant is expected to complete the assignment within 25 working days starting from July 2022 to August 2022.

Qualification and Experience

• Significant experience in fundraising and new business development processes for I/NGOs in public health (preferably on SRHR and safe abortion issues)
• Technically sound in data analysis (especially of large quantitative datasets) and literature review
• Experience of developing high quality technical proposals and concept notes with excellent command over English language
• Good understanding of the local development context in Nepal, especially of the health sector
