KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to Human Rights, Peace Building, Media and Development in Karnali Zone since 1999. It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

KIRDARC is an NGO committed to upholding the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions in Human Rights, Democracy, and Good Governance, with a particular focus on building the capacities of rights-holders, duty-bearers, and civil society actors to promote inclusive growth and equitable development. The organization envisions a “just and prosperous society”.

KIRDARC Nepal is currently implementing the “Gender-Specific Strengthening of Women’s and Girls’ Health and Nutrition Rights” program in Jumla district, in partnership with Terre des Hommes (TDH) Germany. In this context, KIRDARC Nepal invites applications from suitable, qualified, dynamic, and motivated candidates to fill the vacant positions based in Jumla district.

1. Position Description: Project Officer, 1 Person (Based in district headquarter with frequent visit in project area, Jumla)

Academic Qualification and Experience: bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Science, Economics, Rural Development, Livelihoods, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in development projects, especially micro-/small enterprise development, climate change adaptation, or sustainable livelihood promotion. Proven experience in working with women, youth, and marginalized communities.

Key Skills and Knowledge required:- He /She has strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with good knowledge of financial management and reporting systems, local economic development and enterprise development, and experience in project planning, implementation, and reporting in both Nepali and English.

2. Position Description: GESI Officer, 1 Person only for Female (Based in Kanakasundari RM, Jumla)

Academic Qualification and Experience: The candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in social science, Education, Public Health, Gender Studies, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in development projects focusing on nutrition or livelihood promotion. He, she has a strong understanding of GESI, women’s health, nutrition, and community health systems in Nepal, and experience working with CSOs, CBOs, and government health structures.

Key Skills and Knowledge required:- The candidate possesses strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and project planning. He, she also understands value chain and enterprise development, local economic priorities, and is skilled in reporting in both Nepali and English.
