Vacancy Announcement – District Agriculture Officer (12)

Working Location:

  • Gandaki Province: Mustang, Kaski, Lamjung, Syangja, Tanahun
  • Karnali Province: Surkhet, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Jumla
  • Lumbini Province: Kapilvastu, Dang, Palpa, Gulmi

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and coordinate project implementation at the district level.
  2. Provide technical support to local governments, farmers, and partners to promote pollinator friendly agroecological practices.
  3. Monitor, document, and report progress against the implementation plan and budget.
  4. Contribute to evidence generation and strengthening local agricultural systems

Must have:

  1. A Master’s degree in Agroecology, Entomology, Horticulture, or a related discipline from a recognized institution, with at least two years of relevant professional experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with a minimum of five years of experience in insect pollination, agrobiodiversity, or agroecosystem management projects.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Nepali and English.
  3. Residency in the project implementation district, or prior knowledge and/or work experience in the district, with a willingness to reside there for the duration of the assignment.
  4. Candidates holding a valid motorbike /scooter driving license will be given priority.
