Project Overview:
The Music, Arts, and Culture Programme (supported by the SDC) at Skathi Entertainment is a core strategic pillar that drives the company’s broader mission to create a new blueprint for the Nepali music industry. While the programme focuses on the professional and creative development of young artists — particularly from underrepresented and marginalized communities — its outcomes are directly tied to the sustainability and growth of Skathi. Activities such as workshops, residencies, mentorships, performances, cross-collaborations, events, regional and international exchanges directly support Skathi’s mission to build a sustainable and inclusive cultural ecosystem in Nepal’s much needed creative landscape.
Purpose and Objective of the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading this transformative programme, ensuring it strengthens Skathi at its core by aligning all efforts with the organization’s broader strategic goals. Beyond technical administration, this role demands strong people leadership and a deep understanding of how cultural programming drives industry-wide impact, whilst strengthening business sustainability across the organization. The Project Manager is a powerhouse that will bridge creative, strategic, and operational thinking to deliver results that uplift the cultural ecosystem and drive the growth of Skathi’s overall identity, partnerships, and revenue models.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Drive the project’s direction in full alignment with Skathi’s mission and long-term sustainability objectives.
- Translate Skathi’s vision into actionable goals that uplift the national music and arts industry.
- Identify cross-departmental opportunities where programming can amplify artist development, music releases, live experiences, and audience engagement.
- Identify growth opportunities and create pathways for local talent to reach regional and international platforms.
- Actively lead conversations within Skathi and develop actionable goals to ensure the program strengthens the organization holistically.
- Strengthen and evolve Skathi’s current business models, ensuring the programme becomes a powerful vehicle for institutional growth and innovation.
Program Curation and Development
- Design and implement bold, visionary programming (workshops, residencies, mentorships, performances) that empower young artists and expand creative ecosystems.
- Ensure programs are impactful, inclusive, and in line with Skathi’s quality standards and ethos.
- Build a network of local and international mentors and creatives to guide and collaborate with emerging talent.
Project Execution and People Leadership
- Lead and strengthen a diverse team, maintaining unity, motivation, and accountability.
- Facilitate team alignment, ensure clear communication, and hold ownership for results and deliverables.
- Manage day-to-day operations with agility and adaptability.
- Ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget while prioritizing team well-being and project impact.
- Develop full-scale contingency plans to proactively set up outputs for success.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Be the face and voice of the program for embassies, councils, funders, partners, collaborators and artists.
- Strengthen stakeholder trust through consistent communication, transparency, professionalism and maintain strong relations on your own initiative.
- Forge lasting partnerships with music institutions, official bodies, collectives, and cultural leaders.
- Lead timely documentation and storytelling of the programme’s milestones, ensuring Skathi’s narrative is consistently shared with public audiences, partners, and the wider cultural sector.
Policy, Governance, and Compliance
- Work with the legal advisor and FHAM to ensure necessary company policies are in place, and responding to current as well as potential challenges and scenarios.
- Ensure Skathi and the programme operate ethically and protect artists’ rights, their sustainability and organizational integrity.
- Collaborate closely with the Legal Advisor to embed fair labor practices, contractual clarity, and revenue stream protections.
- Work with the Legal Advisor to protect the rights of both artists and the organization, and to co-develop transparent systems that guide artists through legal compliance, IP protection, and sustainable revenue models.
- Establish frameworks that continually educate and guide artists in legal compliance, IP rights, and sustainable career pathways.
- Strengthen the company’s governance frameworks for recruitment, reporting, and implementation.
- Ensure all team members are trained in compliance and efficient operations.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Strengthen M&E tools to track project impact, particularly around GESI and artist development.
- Regularly evaluate program effectiveness and document challenges and achievements.
- Submit high-quality reports to funders and stakeholders, aligning with international standards.
Capacity Building, Training, and Development
- Create training systems to build internal team capacity in project execution, leadership, and cultural management.
- Facilitate artist training in music business, entrepreneurship, and creative strategy.
- Encourage knowledge-sharing, upskilling, and team empowerment.
Financial Strategy and Business Development
- Work closely with the Finance, HR and Administrative Manager (FHAM) to ensure project activities support Skathi’s financial targets and long-term operational sustainability.
- Leverage the programme to create monetizable outputs that directly support Skathi and artist livelihoods.
- Contribute to and strengthen Skathi’s existing revenue channels through partnerships, creative monetization, and innovative development models.
- Build a blueprint for sustainable business development using the programme as a catalyst — including partnerships, knowledge products, and value-driven campaigns that support Skathi’s overall growth.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Management, Music Business, Arts Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in project management, especially within music, arts, and culture sectors.
- Proven leadership in project management, with experience in artist development, event production and international collaborations preferred.
- Experience building and managing diverse teams, with significant success rates.
- Strong background in stakeholder communication and organizational leadership.

Reporting and Performance Reviews
- Reports directly to the CEO and The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal.
- Works closely with Skathi’s leadership to ensure alignment and organizational growth.
- Mid-year and annual performance reviews conducted based on project milestones and stakeholder feedback.
- High-performing candidates may be offered extended leadership roles within Skathi.
Engagement Terms
- 3-months probation within a 1-year contract.
- Continuity and sustainability planning begins in the final quarter of the engagement.

Through workshops, residencies, mentorships, performances, and collaborative exchanges, the project emphasizes empowerment and cultural growth.
Purpose and Objective of the Role
The Content Creator will document all activities under the project, craft compelling narratives, and promote the programme and its workshops, residencies, performances, and community outreach initiatives. This role emphasizes storytelling, brand alignment, and fostering connections with local and international audiences through creative content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Documentation
- Document workshops, residencies, performances, sessions, artist stories, behind the scenes and community outreach programs through photos, videos, and written content.
- Develop creative and engaging content, including blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and video scripts, to highlight the project’s progress and achievements.
- Create and maintain an archive of visual and written materials for future use.
- Collaborate with the Video/Photographer to create and publish compelling visuals.
Promotional Campaigns
- Design and execute promotional campaigns for workshops, residencies, performances, and other events to maximize participation and visibility.
- Collaborate with the project team to produce high-quality digital storytelling and promotional materials such as posters, banners, and digital ads.
- Identify and leverage appropriate platforms to amplify the project’s reach.
Community Engagement
- Strategically engage with local and international audiences through meaningful content to foster connections and build awareness about the project’s initiatives.
- Assist in creating content that aligns with the project’s mission to empower marginalized groups, especially women.
- Support the visual documentation of outreach programs to ensure effective communication with communities and stakeholders.
Collaboration and Alignment
- Work closely with the project team to ensure that all content aligns with the project’s goals, values, and branding.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to gather stories, testimonials, and materials for content creation.
- Support the alignment of content strategies across Nepali, Swiss and international collaborators.
Reporting and Analytics
- Track and analyze the performance of content across platforms to optimize engagement and outreach.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in content creation, preferably in the music, arts, or culture sector.
- Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Strong photography and videography skills, including editing.
- Experience managing social media platforms and campaigns.
- Familiarity with the Nepali and international music and arts scene is highly advantageous.
