To operationalize co-creation, KS works through participatory, collaborative and iterative methods to identify potential solutions. In strengthening this approach, KS also works on building communities of practice which are created deliberately with the goal of gaining, sharing and implementing knowledge to innovate locally and make a global impact.
About the Kheldai Sikdai Project:
Kheldai Sikdai is an initiative led by Karkhana Samuha that aims to transform classroom learning by integrating play and engineering into the daily experiences of children in under-resourced schools. The project focuses on making learning joyful, hands-on, meaningful, and socially interactive—shifting away from rote learning to create classrooms that foster exploration and creativity.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Field Assistant to support the effective implementation of Kheldai Sikdai in Madhesh Province. The role includes coordinating logistics, engaging with stakeholders, supporting training and workshops, and managing field-level administrative and financial tasks. The ideal candidate is passionate about education and community engagement, highly organized, and comfortable working in diverse rural environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Implementation and Coordination 60%
- Plan and support field-level activities such as school visits, training sessions, M&E visits and workshops.
- Liaise with local government bodies, schools, and community stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation of project plans.
- Draft and deliver formal communications to municipalities and other local authorities regarding project activities.
- Organize community meetings, teacher interactions, and events to share updates and collect feedback.
- Represent the project in local events and meetings as directed by the Provincial Officer or Project Manager.
- Collect field-level data including attendance sheets, photos, meeting minutes, and observation notes.
- Ensure proper distribution and use of learning materials in project schools.
Administrative and Financial Support 40%
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all field-level activities in compliance with organizational procedures.
- Coordinate logistics for field events (e.g., booking venues, managing travel and accommodations, and handle procurement process).
- Handle petty cash and submit detailed financial documentation including bills, receipts, and monthly financial reports.
- Maintain regular communication with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of services and materials.
Note: The role may include additional duties assigned by the supervising officer in alignment with project needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management or a related field (preferred).
- Prior experience working in community development, education, or teacher training projects is desirable.
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Nepali, Maithili and Bhojpuri is required.
- Good command of digital tools including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, etc.).
- Nepali typing skills and basic computer literacy
- Must own a personal vehicle and hold a valid driving license.
Key Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Knowledge of administration and financial management principles, particularly in donor-funded settings.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic project needs.
