Vacancy Announcement: Project Coordinator, Transitional Justice

Nepal Peacebuilding Initiative (NPI) is a non-profit organization devoted to creating evidence-based policy and actionable impact on peacebuilding and development issues within Nepal. NPI works with government agencies, civil society organizations and community members to enhance local input on security and development interventions and strengthen the capacity of societies to build durable peace.

NPI invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Project Coordinator, Transitional Justice.

Location: Lalitpur-based with frequent travels to Lumbini Province

Starting Date: 1st April 2024

Duration of Contract: 9 months, with the possibility of extension.

Salary: A competitive NGO salary will be offered

Responsibilities: Plan and implement TJ related activities in collaboration with the project team; coordinate with stakeholders including government agencies, conflict victims, leaders of political parties, civil society organizations, and relevant stakeholders for the successful implementation of the project; manage and monitor project activities, including budgeting, reporting and evaluation; develop and implement training/workshop/consultation meetings on transitional justice.

Qualification: You should have a Bachelor’s Degree in law, international relations, peace and conflict studies or relevant political or social science discipline. You have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a policy and advocacy post, with a proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and familiarity with the Nepalese governance structures and peace process.
