Nepal Public Awakening Forum (N-PAF) is a non-government organization based in Rukum West and working in both Rukum East and west districts since 2006. Currently, N-PAF Nepal is implementing an integrated project entilled " Advancing for Community Transformation Project (Pro-ACT)" in Bhume and Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipalities of Rukum East district since January 2021 to December 2025 with funding support of United Mission to Nepal (UMN), Rukum East Cluster. The Project is particularly focused on community health, mental health, livelihoods, protection, and good governance themes. So, for the successful implementation of the projects, N-PAF is recruiting the following staff. The objective of the job is to ensure the successful implementation of Advancing for Community Transformation Project (Pro-ACT) through effective capacity building, building relationship, project management and providing technical support.
Position: Project Coordinator- 1
Job Location: N-PAF Field Office, Bhume RM, Khabang, Rukum East
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Develop a good understanding of the integration of various thematic areas for effective integrated programming. Technical capacity building of project staff understanding of these integrated programming systems and outcomes of Pro-ACT project
- Build strong relationships with key local project line agencies/stakeholders in the district and working palikas (including district Health office, and Health Facilities at Rural Municipalities) and coordinate and cooperate with them for successful project implementation
- Visit project locations to ensure the quality of work, conduct regular meetings with the partner project team, and provide timely technical input or coaching support to accomplish the project plan on time
- Ensure that the community (including Poor People Living with Poverty) is thoroughly involved in bottom-up project design and implementation
- Provide technical support and guidance for the effective mobilisation of field-based project staff
- Ensure programmatic and financial compliances and requirement of both UMN and N-PAF are fulfilled timely
- Develop the monitoring plan of the project and ensure the integration of feedback and issues to make more effective implementation of the project activities
- Manage project staff with proper planning, review, coaching and effective mobilization
- Produce high-quality project report, updates, success stories and photos in technical support of UMN
- Mainstreaming of Cross Cutting issues i.e. Climate Change, Conflict Sensitivity, GESI and Disability in projects activities
- Ensure proper utilization of budget as per the financial guideline with applying Value For Money
- Proactive communication and collaboration with funding partners and relevant stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Psychology, and relevant academic degree with minimum three years of working experience in Public Health technical areas
- Priorly working experience in integrated projects particularly focus on Mental Health, Health System Strengthening, Economic Empowerment, Protection and Good governance themes
- Experience in project management including proper planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting
- Good knowledge and skill on project designing and proposal writing
- Good coordination, collaboration and networking skills
- Human resource management and mobilization skill
- Knowledge on project financial management
- Excellent skills and knowledge on MS office(word, excel and powerpoint)
- Excellent facilitation skills to lead training, workshops, and meeting
- Comprehensive understanding of GESI, Climate Change, Confict Sensitivity, Disability and Good Governance
- Willingness to travel extensively in the project locations and ability to work under high pressure
- Excellent command of spoken and written of English and Nepali
Assignment: (60% office based work including coordination, networking, and reporting and 40% field works including supervision, monitoring and technical support(may modify as upon program requirement)
2. Position: Project Officer -1
Job Location: N-PAF Field Office, Bhume RM, Khabang, Rukum East
Major duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and keep strong relationships with communities/beneficiaries/key community leaders through regular interaction and meeting, networking
- Coordinate and collaborate with government (Ward representative, HFs, Palika, Leaders, and other relevant stakeholders) and non-governmental stakeholders, ensure right and proper selection process of the beneficiaries (poorest people living in poverty) in the project in participatory way and make sygergy of work
- Provide regular technical support, coaching and backstopping to the field staffs to ensure effective implementation of planned activities
- Facilitate the community group and stakeholders to reachout the project's objectives by ensure the quality of work in field
- Hold accountability of budget and ensuring timely achievement and its proper utilisation
- Regular follow up of planned activities and facilitate the training, meeting and workshop in community
- Tracking of financial progress and ensure the programmatic and financial donor's and organizationl compliance
- Support Project Coordinator to implement activities, collect information and support in project reports writing as per donor's timeframe
- Mainstreaming of Cross Cutting issues i.e. Climate Change, Conflict Sensitivity, GESI and Disability in projects activities
- Develop case stories and collect quality photos and documentation of leanings
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Development Studies or related discipline with at least 2 years or Proficiency Certificate Level in Health Science with five years of experience in integrated projects particularly focusing on Mental Health, Health System Strengthening, Economic Empowerment, Protection and Good Governance themes
- Experience in project management including proper planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting
- Excellent working experience with groups and community mobilization and strengthening
- Good report writing skills in both English and Nepali
- Good skills and knowledge on MS word, excel and power-point
- Excellent facilitation skills to lead training, workshops, and meeting
- Willingness towork in a team with diverse culture in remote locations
- Comprehensive understanding on GESI, Climate Change, Confict Sensitivity, Disability and Good Governance
- Excellent command of spoken and written of English and Nepali
- Willingness to travel extensively in the project locations and ability to work under high pressure
Assignment: 30% office based work including coordination and reporting and 70% field works including supervision, mentoring and backstopping (may modify as upon program requirement)
Salaries and benefits will be according to project and organization policy. The candidates with 2-wheeler license will be preferred.
