Project Coordinator (PC)

With the financial support of United Mission to Nepal (UMN) and in partnership with Dalit Help Society (DHS), the Disaster and Climate Resilient Communities and Local Government in Bajhang District (DCR) Project is will be implemented. For the purpose of this project, applications are invited from eligible candidates for the positions mentioned below. Position Title : Project Coordinator (PC) 1 person

Reports to : Executive Director 

Base (Duty Station) : DHS field office, Bungal Municipality

2. Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Forestry, Disaster Management, Development Studies or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of livelihoods, Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction including community-based projects with a focus on disaster vulnerable groups and families.  

3. Professional skills required:

• Conduct and facilitate training and identify hazards and risk areas
• In-depth knowledge of DRR and CCA policies, VCA tools, Disaster Management Plans
• Provides technical capacity building for government staff, including DRR training development and facilitation for local representatives
• Knowledge of Local Development Planning Process and Vulnerability and Capacity Analysis (VCA).
• Leadership, coordination, team building and mobilization.
• Planning, monitoring, and donor reporting
• GESI and conflict sensitive and responsive.

4 . Salary and Benefits : According to the project rules.
