Women's Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a non-governmental Human Rights organization dedicated to protecting and promoting Human Rights. Founded in 1991, WOREC focuses on preventing violence against women, addressing its causes and effects, and advocating for ecological justice through the economic, social, environmental, and cultural well-being of women and other marginalized groups. We envision a society where feminist aspirations are met, where everyone is equal, and social justice exists. Our working districts with offices are spread across Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Dang, Kailali, and Rukum, with additional working districts in Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Kanchanpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, and Saptari. The Central Office is located in Lalitpur.
1. Program Officer
Duty Station: Kathmandu
No. of Position: 1
The Program Officer works under direct supervision from Program Coordinator. The program officer is responsible for the implementation of Comprehensive Capacity Development Support to Duty Bearers and Right Holders to Advance Gender Responsive and Inclusive Governance in Madhesh, Sudurpaschim and Karnali Province and track implementation and achievements to ensure accountability and efficiency of program. This position also coordinates for community-based partnership in WOREC working area with the support of District Coordinators and program coordinator. Program Officer works in close coordination with concerned Manager, Coordinators and WOREC's networks in achieving the goal and objectives of programs. Program Officer is mainly responsible for implementation of the programs in district level, event coordination, periodic reporting, organizing workshops and Interaction programs as per planning of project document, engaging in data collection, regular monitoring of the program of field level, close coordination with finance officer, district team and project team, documentation, communication with stakeholders, publication and coordination with central office and communities.
