Nepal Investigative Multimedia Journalism Network (NIMJN) is a non-profit media organization working to improve the standards of investigative multimedia journalism in Nepal through advanced training, mentorship, and story publication. It was legally registered with the government of Nepal in April 2020. It promotes collaboration among reporters to produce investigative stories related to social justice and accountability issues using the latest tools and techniques. NIMJN is also a member of the Global Investigative Journalism Network(GIJN) and Asian Dispatch, and also a partner organization of the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). The organization is led by investigative journalists, media practitioners, and staff with years of experience in Nepal and abroad. 

NIMJN is currently looking for suitable candidates for the Program Associate position.

Position Overview:

NIMJN is recruiting a Program Associate to look after our program-related procedures. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of best practices in program and project management and experience in a similar environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can play a supportive role in the execution of the NIMJN activities, training, mentorship and report writing;

  • Can support the Program Officer in Preparing weekly and monthly updates on the project activities

  • Can support to identify collaborative partners for further strengthening the project

  • Can support in managing story production workflow and the fellows

  • Can maintain program records and databases, track progress and impact of stories produced by NIMJN

  • Can support in preparing and developing an effective plan for all goals/activities;

  • Can support human resources management and regulatory compliance in project activities;

  • Can maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital.

Qualification & Required Skills:

  • a Bachelor’s degree/running in a relevant field (Social Sciences, English, International Relations, Social Work, Project Management, Business Administration, Communications, etc.)

  • Strong English and report writing skills

  • Proficient in English and Nepali language (both spoken and written) 

  • Good time-management and organizational skills

  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills
