Safer Migration Project Phase III 

Safer Migration (SaMi) is a bilateral project between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and 156 participating local governments. Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the project on behalf of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Helvetas Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizens for the following position:

1. Position: Monitoring Officer – Skills (short term) - 3 positions

Job Purpose: This position is responsible to carry out monitoring of the skills training programme for potential migrants, implemented by SaMi's partner Training Management Institutes (TMIs) in different provinces. S/he will also support in administration, documentation and online database system management of skills training. And also monitoring of training events conducted by Foreign Employment Board (FEB). 

Required Education, Experience and Social competence:

Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or Developmental Studies or in a relevant field. At least 2 years of work experience in monitoring sector. Experience in Technical Education and Vocational Training (TVET) sector will be an asset. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction and sensitivity towards migrant labour.

Must have two-wheeler valid driving license. All positions are required immediately.

Duration: Until 15 July 2022

Duty Station: Province 3, 4 and 5 (SaMi Provincial Office).  Preference will be given to local resident.
