Finance and Admin Intern

The Finance and Admin Intern will support the Finance and Admin Officer in managing the company’s financial and administrative functions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in basic accounting, financial documentation, office administration, and compliance procedures. This role provides an opportunity to learn professional skills while contributing to smooth day-to-day operations of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Finance and Admin Intern, your primary role is to assist and support the Finance and Admin Officer. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Support

  • Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including filing vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Help in maintaining financial records, ledgers, and journals under supervision.
  • Support in preparing bank and petty cash reconciliation documentation.
  • Assist in petty cash handling and ensure receipts are properly recorded.
  • Help in bookkeeping tasks and data entry into accounting system.

Budgeting and Reporting Support

  • Provide assistance in collecting financial data for budget preparation.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements by compiling necessary documentation.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.

Tax and Compliance Support

  • Help in preparing supporting documents for TDS filing and VAT submissions.
  • Maintain organized files of compliance-related records.

Administrative Support

  • Assist in managing office supplies, stationery, and kitchen items.
  • Help maintain asset records and participate in annual asset verification.
  • Support attendance management and documentation of employee records.
  • Provide clerical support for HR-related documentation as per the HR Manual.
  • Assist in drafting and preparing contracts and agreements under the supervision of the Finance and Admin Officer.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Support communication and documentation for external stakeholders such as banks, vendors, and auditors.
  • Assist in coordinating with internal teams for smooth finance and administrative operations.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain practical knowledge of financial and administrative operations in a professional setting.
  • Develop skills in accounting, documentation, compliance, and office management.
  • Understand workplace ethics, HR processes, and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Tally Prime, accounting principles, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word) is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with integrity.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
  • The candidate should possess a two-wheeler for official use.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Interns are expected to follow office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm.
  • Occasional extra hours may be required depending on workload.
  • A modest stipend/allowance (as per company policy) will be provided.
  • Internship Completion Letter upon successful completion of the internship.

Duration

The internship will be for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational requirements.
