Support Nepal (SNP) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization working strategically address the injustice and inequality being faced by the poor and marginalized groups since 1996. The increasing focus of SNP has been on providing support to communities and developing processes that promote the inclusion of the poor and marginalized groups.
About the Project
With support from Plan International Nepal, Support Nepal implements Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Project, aiming at having the girls and young women in all their diversity reach their full potential as equal and active citizens. The purpose of the project is to facilitate in harnessing the aspirations of children, adolescent and young women (CAY), especially girls and young women whereby they live and lead their life with dignity. The project will directly serve to end child-marriage and force marriage. The project will be implemented in Dhanusha district of Madhesh Province.
Position: Field Supervisor (FS) – 1 (Female)
Duty Station: Shahidnagar Municipality or Kamala Municipality, Dhanusha District, Madhesh Province.
Duration: After completion of the selection process, the contract will be starting from the joining date till March 2026 with the possibility of extension.
General Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day planning of field activity and their implementation of field level project activities.
- Mobilize community volunteers, youths, CoC and FCHVs as per project need and planned activities of the project.
- Organize meetings, workshops and training at project areas to meet the project target and objectives in close coordination with PO and PC.
- Assist PC, GESI and MERL Officer for implementation and project information management of allocated location or as per need of the project.
- Maintain strong communication and coordination with local level and organization
- Maintain field level data of project activities including compilation, analysis of these data and maintain in online data portal as per planned.
- Other tasks as per need of project and given by the officers
Minimum education and professional qualifications: Candidates must have completed Intermediate/+2 in Health, Education, or Development Studies, with at least 2 years of experience as a field supervisor or community/social mobilizer in integrated projects related to early childhood development, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), youth, and child protection; preference will be given to local residents of Shahidnagar or Kamala Municipality in Dhanusha District who meet these qualifications.
Competences: Good understanding gender transformative approach, understanding of SRHR, Protection and ECD, Youth, data management, social mobilization and influencing, and field data management of the project and case studies/ success stories writing. Know right based approach and idea of working with children, youth, teacher and local government. Ability to write clearly Nepali and English preference given for local language.
Additional skills: Sound communication skills, managing work relationships (internal/external), coordination and networking, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, email/internet, google drive and social media use.
