YARCN, Jajarkot is one of the leading NGOs of Karnali province of Nepal, Promoting Food Security and Sustainable Livelihood, Social Service Strengthening: Health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and Education, Community Infrastructure Building, Governance Strengthening, Indigenous Knowledge Promotion, Disaster Response and Climate Change Adaptation, Conflict Resolution and Peace Building, Child Protection and Child Friendly Local Government, Youth Awareness and Mobilization, and Income Generation Program. Now we are focusing on building of temporary shelter, TLC and drinking water project, Livelihood programs and psychosocial support on different location of Jajarkot and West Rukum earthquake affected areas.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Youth Awareness Raising Center Nepal (YARCN) Jajarkot is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities through disaster preparedness, resilience building, child protection, livelihood support, and community development. YARCN works in Karnali Province, supporting local governments and communities to enhance preparedness for disasters and promote sustainable development.

YARCN, in partnership with Caritas Nepal and Caritas Germany, is implementing the Local Initiatives for Future Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness (LIFE) Project in Jajarkot and West Rukum Districts. The project aims to strengthen community capacity for earthquake preparedness, disaster risk reduction, and resilient recovery.

Applications are invited from interested, committed, dynamic, and experienced Nepali nationals for the following positions:

1. Field Supervisor-1

Qualification:

  • Minimum qualification: +2 level, with preference given to candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in community mobilization, DRR/CCA, or livelihood projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors:

  • Experience working with rural communities, local governments, and committees (WDMC/CDMC, LDMC) is preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and community-based interventions.
  • Must have a valid two-wheeler driving license and capable of driving in difficult hill terrain for field mobility.
