Field Officer

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

Social Development Forum (SDF) is a non-governmental organization that has been working for the past two decades to improve the social and economic conditions of women, children, youth, and people with disabilities from Dalit, Janajati, Marginalized and Disadvantaged communities through meaningful participation in education, health, environment, and agriculture. SDFBankehas been implementing Pathways to Wellbeing, Empowerment and Resilience for Adolescent and Youths project (POWER 4 AY-till May 2026) in partnership with Save the Children inside Nepalgunj sub metropolitan city, Banke district. In the regards, SDF is seeking qualified, dynamic, and motivated Nepali citizens for the position of Field Officer.

Position: Field Officer - 1 (Female only with permanent resident of Nepalgunj sub metropolitan city)

Academic qualification/ experiences: 

• Bachelor’s degree in social science from recognized university with at least 2 years relevant experience especially with youth and children related issues on livelihood, education, health and sanitation themes.
• Good coordination and communication skills with community and stakeholders. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Nepali, English and Awadhi languages.
• Good facilitationskills to conduct events,presentations, and reports with excellent financial knowledge.
• Good knowledge of word, excel, power point and email internet.
• Good knowledge and experience of mobile database and computer software database systems (KOBO tools, OPMIS, Teams etc).
• Having a two-wheeler vehicle with driving license.

Major Responsibility 

• Implementation of project activities at the field level.
• Coordination with palika, ward offices and schools for project related intervention.
• Identification of youths and children for bursary support, vocational and micro entrepreneurship trainings.
• Monitor and provide technical support to vocational and micro entrepreneurship graduate youths, children AYs group. 
• Prepare and submit event reports to the focal person as per conduction of field level activities.
• Coordinate with municipality level line agencies and like-minded organizations to develop synergy in programs.
