CBM initiated its work in Nepal since 1982 and supports a diverse mix of national partners engaged in Inclusive Eye and Ear Care, Rehabilitation, Education, and Social Inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Details / requirements:

CBM Global Disability Inclusion Nepal Country Office seeks collaboration from local NGO or OPDs registered as NGO to participate in the development and implementation of Disability Inclusive Livelihood and Disability Inclusive Advocacy initiatives for Karnali Earthquake Recovery Project in Jajarkot and Rukum-West districts of the Karnali Province. The focus of the Karnali Earthquake Recovery project is to increase income generation opportunities of earthquake affected households by revealing their livelihood options, improve mental health condition of earthquake affected people through Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and enhance inclusion and access of persons with disabilities in recovery interventions through advocacy. Local NGO will be focused on the disability inclusive livelihood project design and implementation and local OPDs will focus on supporting to consortium partners on disability inclusive project design and implementation and advocacy with stakeholders for disability inclusive recovery interventions in earthquake affected Rural/Municipalities.

We invite experienced and interested Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and NGOs to apply for partnership.

Minimum Criteria to be fulfilled by the applicant:

  • Registered in the targeted Districts (Jajarkot and or West-Rukum) and working closely with local government mechanisms in the district.
  • Affiliated with Social Welfare Council.
  • Up-to-date renewal of organizational registration and SWC affiliation.
  • Periodic audit conducted and tax clearance certificate obtained.
  • Existence of functional governing/executive board and management. 
  • Local level NGO with strong experience in municipality/district level project implementation.
  • Proven expertise and experience on Disability Inclusion and livelihood project management in partnership with funding partners/INGOs.
  • Proven experience of working in disability inclusion and rights of persons with disabilities (preferred).
  • Passionate about working for the disability inclusive livelihood, advocacy, and integrated programming.    
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Cycle Management (planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation).
  • Deep understanding of local level governance, policy and practices, possible livelihood interventions for earthquake recovery at local level, idea on local market system, humanitarian principles and standards and idea on how to ensure persons with disabilities’ meaningful participation in project design and implementation.
  • Experience of working with other organizations jointly for the same mission.

Documents to be submitted:

1. Duly filled Expression of Interest (EOI) in the format provided.

2. Project Concept (max 6 page) under the theme of disability inclusive and practical livelihood interventions in earthquake affected Rural/Municipalities from Jajarkot and Rukum-West districts. 

3. Copies of the following documents:

  • Legal registration certificate with latest renewal
  • Certificate of Affiliation with SWC (Social Welfare Council) with latest renewal
  • Tax clearance letter of the latest fiscal year
  • PAN/VAT certificate
  • By-law (Bidhan) of the organization
  • latest 3 audit reports of the organization with balance sheet, list of inventories and management letter (separate reports of latest 3 fiscal years)
  • Two references from current or previous donors / partners
  • Human Resource Policy (preferred) or Organization’s HR/administration policies/procedure
  • Financial management guideline/policy including procurement procedure
  • Organizational Strategy Plan (preferred)
  • Progress report/annual report of the organization (preferred)
