The organisation engaged in community development and humanitarian assistance sectors with the thematic area of WASH, Health, and Education promotion in the Terai region of Nepal. It works for the poor, vulnerable, marginalised, socially excluded communities, and institutions (Including children, women, youth, schools and health centres also) with the support of different funding agencies for meet encourage social and economic development and uphold the well-being and human rights of them.

Campaign Nepal for Research and Development (Campaign Nepal), an apolitical, secular, non-profit making and multidisciplinary non-government social development and humanitarian organisation, is implementing the project titled 'Sustainable Accessibility, Quality, and Governance to Education through Community Engagement in Rautahat,' funded by USAID Civil Society and Media (CSM) Activity, with The Asia Foundation as the lead implementer. The project focuses on the Rautahat district in Madhesh Province.

Campaign Nepal is seeking applications for the following positions:

1. Vacancy Ref No: RT-06-2024        

    Position: Project Coordinator             

    Required Number: 01

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall project management and coordination, ensuring activities are completed within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Plan for the project.
  • Supervise and guide the Project Team (Education Officer, Program Associate, Finance & Admin Officer).
  • Facilitate and manage communication with stakeholders (local government, SMC network, USAID-CSM program team, etc.).
  • Organize and conduct meetings, workshops, and training related to the project.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports (narrative and financial) for donors and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee project data collection, and disaggregation by GEDSI, and ensure its regular updates.
  • Manage project budget and ensure proper financial controls.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the development sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on education-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience working in rural communities of Nepal and knowledge of local language and context (highly preferred).

2. Vacancy Ref No: RT-07-2024

    Position: Education Officer             

    Required Number: 01

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Coordinator in implementing project activities related to education.
  • Lead the formation, capacity building, and mobilization of the municipal-level SMC network.
  • Facilitate consultative meetings with stakeholders for policy development.
  • Develop and deliver training workshops on education advocacy, governance, and best practices.
  • Conduct research and needs assessments related to education in the target municipalities.
  • Collaborate with local government education officials on policy implementation.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of informative materials on education.
  • Monitor and evaluate the project's impact on educational outcomes.
  • Ensure data collection related to education activities is disaggregated by GEDSI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working on education development projects.
  • Strong understanding of the Nepalese education system and current challenges.
  • Experience in working with SMCs and community mobilization.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and training skills.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Nepali and Bajjika.
  • Experience working in the Rautahat district (highly preferred).

3. Vacancy Ref No: RT-08-2024  

    Position: Programme Associate             

    Required Number: 01

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Project Coordinator and Education Officer.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and trainings.
  • Assist with data collection, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Develop and maintain project documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and support communication efforts.
  • Manage project logistics, including travel arrangements and procurement of materials.
  • Ensure project activities are implemented in accordance with the GEDSI Plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • Higher secondary education in any discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in program implementation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office).
  • Experience working in the development sector (an asset).

4. Vacancy Ref No: RT-09-2024 

    Position: Finance and Administration Officer              

    Required Number: 01

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project finances in accordance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
  • Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Process payments to vendors and project staff.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee project procurement processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the project team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management within the development sector.
  • Strong understanding of donor financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and handling Spreadsheet/Excel   
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
