Expression of Interest (EOI) Call for Consultancy

Call for Consultancy

At present, dZi works in partnership with three local NGOs in Solukhumbu, Khotang, and Bhojpur to implement most of its field-based activities with a programmatic focus on health, education, and livelihood work. The call for consultancy service is to contribute to capacity-building efforts of the dZi field and partner staff, working in the agriculture sector, on disease and pest management of cash crops and tropical fruits through organic practice.

Deliverables

1. Inception report consisting of (a) training needs assessment of the individual staff, both dZi and partner NGOs, on disease and pest management of cash crops and tropical fruits through organic practice, and (b) training methodologies, timeline, and key deliverables to address the needs identified.
2. Training package, training organization, and completion report.
3. A brief final report reflecting how the training responded to needs identified and the way forward.

Duration of the Consultancy

The duration of the consultancy is approximately 10 working days, and the final report should be submitted by/before March 7, 2023.

Qualification of the Consultant/s

• At least a bachelor’s degree in agriculture science or Isc Ag. Plant Science and/ or related fields from a recognized university.
• At least five years’ professional experience in capacity building of organic farming, and bio-pest management practice.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills, both in Nepali and in English.
• Demonstrated experience in managing similar consultancy with at least three national clients for bachelor’s degree and five national clients for Isc Ag. plant science within the last 2-5 years.
• Able and willing to travel to the project districts and be flexible in terms of communicating with diverse people, and context.

Submission of EOI

Interested Nepali citizens/firms meeting the above qualifications can submit their EOI with (1) a cover page, (2) a brief technical and financial proposal, not more than 5 pages, (3) an updated CV of the consultant/s including PAN certificate, (4) evidence of similar assignment, at least 2, and (5) company profile with tax clearance and certificate, if applicable.
