Conducting Interface Meetings; Community Health Score Board (CHSB) Program in Siraha District

In partnership with One Heart Worldwide (OHW), HOPE Foundation Nepal, Lahan, Siraha has been implementing the “Strengthening Maternal and Neonatal Health Services in Partnership with the Local Government (स्थानीय सरकारको साझेदारीमा मातृ तथा नवजात शिशु स्वास्थ्य सेवा सुदृढीकरण)” project in Siraha District since 2025.

The project uses the Community Health Score Board (CHSB) as a social accountability tool to strengthen accountability and promote demand for maternal and family planning (FP) services within the local government health-care delivery system in Siraha District.

Under the project, Hope Foundation Nepal has conducted consultation meetings, identified and documented service delivery gaps, and developed action plans in collaboration with representatives of Karjanha Municipality, Dhangadimai Municipality, Arnama Rural Municipality, Sakhuwanankarkatti Rural Municipality, Naraha Rural Municipality, Aurahi Rural Municipality, and Sukhipur Municipality.

Health Facilities (HFs) and members of the Health Facility Operation and Management Committees (HFOMCs) have been oriented and actively engaged in the process. In addition, efforts have addressed identified gaps at the community level through group discussions with Mothers’ Groups, facilitating community participation, feedback, and demand for improved maternal and family planning services.

2. Specific Task for assignment

• Validate and Verify findings by visiting respective palika and Health Facility
• Coordinate and communicate with Health Facility, Local Government, stakeholders, HFOMC to involve stakeholders in Interface Meeting.
• Organize and facilitate interface meetings (a half day meeting) involving stakeholders and beneficiaries.
• Prepare a clear action Plan to address the gap identified/ promote accountability.
• Event completion report, attendance, supporting documents and some quality pictures of the event.
• Venue management, proper sound system arrangement, and some bites recording/visual shots of stakeholders during the event.

3. Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in facilitation, community mobilization, public event management, beneficiary engagement, social audit facilitation and implementation, dialogue/workshop facilitation, or similar assignments, particularly in Siraha District and Madhesh Province.
• Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system, health governance, and social accountability mechanisms will be an added advantage.
• Conceptual knowledge of public health and the roles and responsibilities of local health facilities, Local Government (LG) offices, and relevant health departments.
