Human Resources Centre (HRC) Bajura is a non-government organization; it has established in Bajura district of Nepal. The organization has been working on need based action orientated multi-disciplinary areas through community led approach especially focusing on human resources capacity development, human rights, livelihood, micro enterprise, infrastructure, climate change, quality education, lobby/advocacy, empowerment, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).

The organization is going to implement one-year DRR/CCA project partnership with the Handicap International (HI) in Badimalika Municipality, Bajura. Thus, HRC-Bajura, invites application from qualified, competent and result oriented and highly self-motivated candidates for the following position.

1. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Officer–1, 

(Based in Badimalika Municipality, Bajura)

Required Qualifications and Experience required 

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change, Natural Resource Management or any discipline .
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in managing DRR, Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and community-based projects with a focus on vulnerable populations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Proven experience in DRR/CCA, emergency preparedness and response, livelihood, community adaptation planning
• Demonstrated experience working with government, non-government and private sector stakeholders.
• Ability to lead teams, coach field staff and build capacity in DRR and climate change adaptation.
• Excellent skills in project planning, implementation, monitoring and report writing skill.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt and find solutions in dynamic environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to work under pressure in harsh environment;
• Having valid two wheeler license
