Ipas works globally with a vision that every woman and girl has the right and ability to determine her own sexuality and reproductive health. Our programs use a multifaceted approach that addresses reproductive health services, access to services and fulfillment of reproductive rights. 

As part of the broader reproductive justice movement, Ipas is working to ensure that abortion and contraceptive care are essential health services and that all people can access them. Our programs use a multifaceted approach that addresses reproductive health services, access to services and fulfillment of reproductive rights. We seek to expand the availability, quality and sustainability of abortion and related reproductive health services, as well as improve the enabling environment for the services.

Ipas Nepal’s program intervention prioritize intersectional partnerships that integrates into the broader gender equality and social justice, including gender-based violence prevention and response, and women-led climate justice. 

Position: Consultant to develop Strategic Plan (2023-2025)

Number of positions required: 1 (one)

Duration: Estimated LoE of 20 days

Location: Kathmandu

Detailed duties and responsibilities for the assignment:

  • Critical analysis of Ipas Nepal's strategic plan 2018-2023.
  • Review and situational analysis of current business landscape in national and international scenario, especially on sexual and reproductive health and rights, climate justice and gender-based violence.
  • Conduct field visits to partner organizations to at least two working provinces and districts of Ipas Nepal for consultative meetings. 
  • Identify the potential program areas and strategic approaches through consultative processes.
  • Develop a theory of change. 
  • Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for Ipas Nepal for 2023-2025 (three year).
  • Finalize the Strategic plan by incorporating feedback from Ipas Nepal.

Deliverables for assignment: 

  • Develop inception report based on the internal meetings, desk research and contextual analysis.
  • Conduct consultative meetings with Federal, Province and Local government. 
  • A draft of theory of change and strategic plan for three years.
  • Finalize and share thestrategic plan to Ipas Nepal's staff.

Qualification and skill requirements:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Sociology, Development Studies or in relevant academic background.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing multi-annual strategic plan for reputed national and international organizations.
  • Should have sound written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali language. 
  • Strong skills in conceptualizing, developing, drafting,and delivering strategic planfor I/NGOs, with evidence.
