Maiti Nepal, like any other Non-Government Organization (NGO) in Nepal, operates through a general agreement with Social Welfare Council, Government of Nepal that allows it to implement programs to prevent human trafficking by reaching out to the community, particularly children and women, by raising the awareness level of communities and extending life skills so that children and women are not trafficked into different forms of abuse including exploitation.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

1)   Communication and Documentation Officer:

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare Press releases(English and Nepali), update Maiti Nepal's website and publish newsletter
  • Video making (short) and editing
  • Excellent knowledge on social media handling 
  • To plan, develop and implement Organization's public relation strategies
  • Answer enquiries from Media, individuals and other organizations via telephone /emails
  • Be responsible for electronic and internal/external communication that has been entrusted
  • To promote work of Maiti Nepal through presentations, preparing promotional materials etc.
  • Strong media relations
  • Any other operational matters as directed by Management 

Qualification and competencies required:

Graduate in any subject preferably Mass Communication and Journalism with at least 2 years work experience. Fluent in Nepali and English with an ability to write quality report and translations.

2)   Warden (Residential):

Job responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all care facilities (food, clothing, medicines, clothing, etc.) of the residents of Shelter home
  • Ensure timely deliveries of all  administrative support services and logistic requirements on daily operation basis
  • To maintain registers on any illness of the children/girls/women
  • Consult Shelter In charge and assistant Shelter In charges about the health issues and medications of residents
  • In case of any emergency, you will be required to stay in hospital
  • Prepare weekly report of all residents and submit to Shelter Department 
  • To assist in identifying and locating parents/guardians (if existing) of the residents and also initiate family union process.
  • Any other operational matters as directed by Management 

Qualification and competencies required:

Completion of Higher secondary level (10+2) or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in similar work
