CALL FOR PROPOSAL TO

CONDUCT RESEARCH ON IMPACT OF

WATER RECHARGE PONDS

United Mission to Nepal (UMN) has been serving the people of Nepal since 1954. UMN is implementing the Climate Change Impacts Mitigation and Adaptation for Environmental Sustainability (CLIMATES) project in Doti and Bajhang Districts with funding support from Normisjon and in partnership with its local partners, Rural Community Development Centre (RCDC) in Doti and Dalit Help Society (DHS) in Bajhang.

This research will assess the ecological, social, and livelihood impacts of the recharge ponds implemented under the CLIMATES project, and identify lessons learned, best practices and challenges to inform future scaling up and integration into local government plans.

All interested and qualified consulting firms and individuals are encouraged to apply. UMN will give priority to consultants with a background in environmental science and/or natural resource management, and with research experience in climate change adaptation and natural resource management. The Terms of Reference (ToR), which outlines the assessment details and conditions, can be accessed at www.umn.org.np/consultancy

The application must be submitted by 20 November 2025.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to an assessment process. We especially encourage and provide grant points for applications from women and marginalised groups. Please submit your applications to consultants.meal@umn.org.np
