Sahas Foundation (SF) is a profit non-distribution company established in 2018 to contribute to the environment-friendly and resilient socio-economic development of the country. Currently, SF is implementing a project, Community-based Green Energy Promotion in Nepal in Udayapur, Sindhuli, and Makawanpur districts since 2019. For the project, SF is looking for an experienced Business and Finance Officer, who will be responsible for the management of the current project and identifying opportunities for business growth and creating marketing strategies for the products of the organisation. 

Position: Business and Finance Officer

Number of positions: One

Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent field visits

Qualification: Bachelor of Business/Marketing Studies or any relevant faculties from a recognized university with a minimum of four years of working experience.

Areas of responsibility:

1.  Technical Support, planning, and implementation

  • Manage and ensure project implementation in compliance with Gold Standard for Global Goal (GS4GG) and the organization’s policies.
  • Explore and develop the business strategies and plan for the marketing of the products of the organization.
  • Provide technical and managerial guidelines to the program staff. 
  • Develop an action plan of the project activities and follow-up.
  • Produce reports and marketing publications as required by the project and organization.
  • Promote the work and potential areas of Sahas Foundation with other programme/projects at different Provinces, Districts, and Palikas.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Communicate with private companies to find the market and investment for the project.
  • Adequate knowledge on analysis of business.

2.  Monitoring and Supervision

  • Monitor field level activities and guide field staff.
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Develop and conduct field monitoring plan.

3.  Marketing Skills

  • Creative and innovative ideas for marketing of the products with diverse strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind
  • Develop marketing plans and campaigns
  • Good knowledge in computer and data management

4. Admin and Finance

  • Generate reports detailing various account information
  • Reconcile accounts of parties and review all materials, including income and expense data
  • Complete daily accounting tasks such as tracking funds, preparing deposits and reconciling accounts of the debtors & creditors
  • Accurately document all cash, bank, credit, fixed assets, accrued expenses and line of credit transactions
  • Provide journal entries and perform accounting on an accrual basis
  • Maintain the documents of the staffs
  • Adequate knowledge about VAT and Tax.

Salary and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of Sahas Foundation.
