NOTICE FOR AUCTION OF OFFICE GOODS

(furniture & fixtures, equipment, computer)

Habitat for Humanity International Nepal (Habitat Nepal) invites interested individuals/firms/companies to submit their closed envelope auction bid for the purchase of the used Habitat Nepal office goods (furniture & fixtures, equipment, computer) as listed.

The office goods are available for inspection from 30 September till 4 October 2024, Monday to Friday between 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the respective Habitat Nepal offices.

The bid form in closed envelope must be submitted in hard copy by 5:00pm on Wednesday, 9 October 2024, at respective Habitat Nepal Offices. Interested bidders (Individuals/firms/companies) are requested to fill respective Auction Interest Forms which can be downloaded from the link below.

Opening of Auction Bid will be on Tuesday, 22 October 2024, 11: 00 AM. All the bidders are requested to be present in the respective Habitat Nepal offices. If a bidder is not present at the proposed date & time of auction bid opening, the bid opening process will not be invalid, and their auction bids submitted will be considered.

Habitat Nepal reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without giving reasons whatsoever.

Terms and conditions for Auction Bid submission.

  1. Potential buyers shall make offer in written form, using the Auction interest form and submit it to the Habitat Nepal office by the closing date 9 October 2024, with subject written on the top of the envelop “BID for office goods”.
  2. Only bids received within the closing date/time will be evaluated.
  3. There are three bid categories, 1) Furniture & fixture, 2) Equipment, 3) Computers. The interested bidder must bid for at least one category entirely.
  4. Interested bidders must mention their name (Individual name/name of company/name of firm) and contact information in the envelope.
  5. The auction bids will be evaluated based on the highest bid and the goods sold to the highest bidder.
  6. There is a requirement for “earnest deposit” which is mentioned against each category, and the interested bidder must submit proof of earnest deposit made along with the auction interest form.
  7. This earnest money will be refunded to non-selected/non-awarded bidder within 1 month from the opening of the bids and will be adjusted against the payment to be made by successful/awarded bidder for auction purchase. If the selected/awarded bidder is unable to make the auction purchase within the timeline, this amount will be forfeited.
  8. All costs for transport of the goods shall be borne by the bidder.
  9. The goods on auction shall remain in Habitat Nepal office until the proof of payment is presented as well as the necessary paperwork is done.
  10. The successful bidders will make payment for the auction purchase through a bank transfer, or through bank deposit voucher or online transfer within 7 working days from the date of selection of bidder.
  11. The banking details will be given to the successful bidders.
  12. The goods will be handed to the successful bidder by admin department staff after receiving written payment confirmation from finance on payment receipt prior to collection of the items by the successful bidder. 
  13. The bidder shall collect the auction goods within 3 working days from the date of payment.
  14. Habitat Nepal does not provide any warranty and guarantee of the auctioned goods.
  15. Habitat Nepal has the right to cancel or extend the auction period at any time.
  16. If there is a change in the auction bid opening date as mentioned in this notice, Habitat Nepal will inform all the bidders who submitted the hard copy bids.
  17. Habitat Nepal auction committee members are not eligible to bid.
