VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Sonaha Bikash Samaj (SBS) is a non-governmental, nonprofit, civil society organization, initially set up as a small organization in 2011 by a group of Sonaha. It was officially registered in 2011 as Sonaha Bikash Samaj (SBS) in the District Administration office Bardiya and Social Welfare Council in 2068 B.S (2011 A.D.). With the passage of time, SBS has been able to expand itself into one of the recognizable organizations in Bardiya district and Nepal together with its diverse development programs covering the indigenous and poorest people through the integrated programs. SBS has been implementing Activities under the Integrated Community Development Project with the technical and financial support of Good Neighbors International (GNI-Nepal) since September 2016. Sonaha Bikash Samaj is working under the Integrated Community Development Project in 1 Rural Municipality and 2 municipalities of the Bardiya district named Geruwa Rural Municipality  Madhuban Municipality and Rajapur Municipality respectively.

Sonaha Bikash Samaj (SBS) is looking for the following positions:

1. Assistant Admin and Finance Officer

Position: Assistant Admin and Finance Officer

Location: Sonaha Bikash Samaj, Bardiya

Duration: till December 2026 with possibilities of extension

Salary and benefits: Not less than NPR 48k per month in gross.

Probation Period: 3 Months

Responsible to: Focal Person- Project

Responsible for: Administration and Finance Department

Scope of Work

The Assistant Admin and Finance Officer will be responsible for both financial and administrative works of the organization. The major financial duties and responsibilities of the AFO include accounting, software operation, reporting and documentation, cash flow/fund management, compliance. And, administrative duties and responsibilities are to conduct works related to general administration, assets management, coordination, procurement function, inventory management, etc.

Academic Qualification and Work Experience

  • Bachelors level in management with specialization in accounting
  • At least 2-year experience working in the sector of finance and administration in development and audit firm
  • Preference will be given to knowledge of using FAMAS accounting software.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Nepali, and local languages; 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines;
  • Should have two wheelers driving license;
