Trio Research and Development (TrioRD), is a research organization, aims to promote human rights, child rights, communication, peace, social development, and good governance through research and study, publication, evaluation of programs, trainings, policy formation and review, awareness building and communication for behavior change. Work as a resource organization to conduct studies and research, issue publications, conduct baseline evaluation on success and impact, build capacity, review programs and policies, develop awareness materials for child rights and overall human rights, , child friendly education, social justice, governance, communication, behaviour change and social development issues, Facilitate the design and evaluation of strategies, advocacies, lobbies, and campaigns on child rights, human rights, social justice, and development issues.

Core Competencies for the Position:
i. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali, with proven ability to prepare clear financial reports, policy documents, official correspondence, and donor communications.
ii. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office-especially Excel for budgeting, financial analysis, and data management-along with strong skills in presentation and reporting tools for effective documentation and financial visualization.
iii. Strong influencing, coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills to build capacity among staff and partners while ensuring compliance with financial, procurement, and administrative policies.
iv. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
v. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, demonstrating integrity, transparency, and ethical standards in all financial and administrative functions.
vi. Resilient and analytical, with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple priorities and optimize financial and administrative processes in dynamic project environments.
Desired Qualification and Experiences:
i. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business administration and finance management related fields
ii. Experience: At least 2 years’ experience administration and finance management in NGO sector
iii. Language proficiency: Good spoken and written English and Nepali languages
iv. Communication: Excellent inter-personal communication skills and learning attitude
v. Computer proficiency: Able to use basic MS word, MS excel Power Point, and FAMAS accounting software would be highly preferable.
Job Description
Administration and Finance Officer will work under Executive Director (ED) and Program Head (PH) of TrioRD; the position holder is expected to perform the following tasks:
i. Lead the admin and financial activities of TrioRD
ii. Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Finance Statements required for donor/funding agencies ensuring whether the expenditure is in line with the approved budget breakdown and accounting principles
iii. Prepare, report and ensure the financial transactions, payments and procurements held as per organization policy and government regulations
iv. Verify the monthly or quarterly reconciliation report of bank account and expenditure for the reporting period
v. Submit financial and admin report to ED and PH on accounting principles, entry of vouchers/transaction into FAMAS software and production of required financial reports and statements
vi. Develop necessary reporting formats for having sound finance management of organization in consultation to the ED and PH and Board for its implementation.
vii. Coordinate and attend the meetings with Donor, Partners, government line agencies, CSOs and other stakeholders
viii. Ensure annual planning, periodic review and timely reporting of the projects and organizational activities
ix. Arrange administrative support for the program operation and TrioRD campaign as assigned by the ED and PH.
x. Other tasks as assigned by the ED and PH with regards to financial reporting, verifications and accounting services
xi. Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Finance Statements required for donor/funding agencies, ensuring whether the expenditure is in line with the approved budget breakdown and accounting principles
xii. Ensure the financial transactions, payments and procurement held as per organization policy and government regulations
xiii. Assist the board and Treasurer and ED and PH in preparing the annual budgets of TrioRD and its projects
xiv. Maintain daily record of all financial transactions of the TrioRD including all tax related works.
xv. Other tasks as assigned in regards to financial reporting, verification and accounting.
Deliverable:
i. Monthly Financial Reports - along with verified finance statements and Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and specific recommendations
ii. Timely report as per the donors requirements to the Donors and ED and PH.
iii. Maintain government compliances in financial and administrative activities.
iv. Perform logistic and administrative support to the programs and TrioRD campaign.
v. Maintain smooth coordination with government line agencies, civil society organizations and other stakeholders
Note:
