Background: Manas is a UK-based international organisation committed to promoting healing-centred responses to mass violence. We are committed to support institutions by embedding further psychological insights within their practice, which results in more effective ways to disrupt cycles of violence allowing for recovery to take place. We have an exciting opportunity within our team so would like to invite applications for the following:
Position: Administration and Finance support officer
Location: Nepal, remote work with flexible working arrangements Position type: 1 consultancy position for (0.2 equivalent, flexible)
The 3-year project focuses on improving the psychosocial wellbeing of conflict victims through equitable access to quality MHPSS during the Transitional Justice in Nepal, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and in partnership with Centre for mental Health and Counselling Nepal (CMC-Nepal).
Responsibilities will include accounting, budgeting, book-keeping, reporting, financial transactions, and some logistical management following Manas’ administrative and financial policies and procedures that are UK-based and, at times, project-based depending on the implementation of the activities.
Requirements:
- Master Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or Management with at least 2 years of work experience, and/or 5 years of work experience post
- Bachelor degree in finance and administration in a Civil Society Organisation (CSO) or a Non-Governmental Organisation.
- Excellent command of the English language is essential, both spoken and written.
- Extensive experience in accounting standards, maintaining books of account, financial reporting, internal control management, payment of invoices.
- Well versed in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proven competence in general logistical and administrative work.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and with confidence in intercultural interpersonal relationships with a team of international experts from varied cultural backgrounds
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of accounting software, such as Money Works Gold
