Admin and Finance Officer

Freedom Studio is a pro-democracy, movement building initiative that strategically and creatively supports civic mobilization. We invest in building leadership and capacities of marginalized citizens especially younger ones, in expanding full potential of the social activism/movement they are leading. We mainly train them on leadership approaches, strategic development, nonviolent resistance, artivism, and digital media campaign.

We invite applications from committed, qualified, and competent candidates for the position of ‘Admin and Finance Officer’

Major responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage a team of Finance and admin in the preparation of high quality of financial reports for a range of various donors.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative and financial transactions of the organization. 
  • Support for overall financial management of the organization and its projects. 
  • Ensure the implementation of organizational policies in finance and administration. 
  • Prepare payroll sheets every month according to the employee contracts.
  • Ensure the required taxes are paid on time and are as per government regulations.
  • Release advance, review, and verify expenses of field activities.
  • Prepare the financial report within the donor reporting guideline.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, bank/cash reconciliation statements. 
  • Follow up the attendance of employees and keep records of their leaves &holidays.
  • Carry out organizational-related reservations and organize events.
  • Develop and update filing system of the organization.
  • Petty cash handling and reporting of expenses status.
  • Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the leadership team. 

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Development Finance, Accounting or relevant field, with 2 years of relevant work experience (I/NGOs). 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software, if any, excel spreadsheet along with good computer skills. Knowledge on FAMAS is valuable.
  • Excellent skills in administration and financial documentation. 
  • Good knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles. 
  • Able to accomplish quality work with strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, self-confident, and a team player.
